Who: George Weasley and Daphne Greengrass What: George's screen comes crashing down... right on top of Daphne and him. When: Oct 15 Where: Jones' Books
George and Daphne were just gearing up for another fight with each other when a hush fell over the crowd and all eyes turned to the cloaked figures quickly approaching the bookstore. There was no way. This couldn't really be happening, could it? Weren't these days supposed to be over? Without even thinking his left hand reached into his pocket to pull out his wand while the other took firm hold of Daphne's arm.
"Get out of here," He instructed her, gently but firmly pulling her through the panicked crowd. He'd make sure she was safely out of here, then come back to help fight.
Spells were flying left and right, small fires springing up throughout the crowd, and one zealous Renegade was setting off small explosions all over the place. The screen towering above them gave the crowd outside a wonderful view of the fire raging inside the store, at least until it was hit with a stray spell. It let out a loud crack, sparks flew out over the crowd, and the whole thing began crumbling to pieces.
George looked back when he heard the crack, and only had a split-second to mourn the loss of his wonderful creation before realizing it was about to come crashing down on his head. Their heads. Daphne's head! He spun back toward her, his only thoughts about protecting her.
"Duck!" Was the best instruction he could come up with as he pulled her to the ground, wrapping his arms around her and using his own body as a shield as the chunk of screen came smashing down on top of them.
