THE TOWN OF VERITAS

The town of Veritas is located one hour North of Reigate and is magically protected, invisible to muggles. Home to a population of over 8,000 wizards and witches, it has developed greatly since Norman times. Medieval underground caves and tunnels served as storage and shelter during the war against Voldemort. Since the last year of the war, the town's population has grown from 3,000 to 8,000 as with its beautiful scenery and land it made a grand haven for witches and wizards battered from the war. Veritas has a street devoted to lovely boutiques, though nothing quite as high end as some purebloods are used to. It is also home to five pubs: The old Horse, The Young Horse, The Wicked Horse, The Lazy Horse and McMinnie's. There are open-air markets, a graduate training facility for witches and wizards looking to get their doctorates (Wodbog School of Graduate Wizardy and Witchcraft) and plenty of farms on the outskirts.

On all sides of the town lie large manors with farmland attached. To the North there is Draco Malfoy, the brooding, do-it-yourself heir of the Malfoy fortune. Rumor has it that he renounced his family. To the East and West...those remain unclaimed! And to the South...well....it's best not to speculate.....

POSSIBLE JOBS

Since this takes place in a smaller town than London, everyone is NOT some high flying executive! Some possible jobs:

- Police Constable
- Mediwitch
- Chocolatier
- Bookshop owner
- Wand store operator
- Seamstress
- Market owner
- Graduate Student

Also, your character does not need to reside in the town 24/7 - they may come in occasionally. For purebloods, their parents may be elsewhere, but your character may have chosen this town for work/schooling.
