Summertime was pretty much the best time. At least in Elizabeth's opinion. She was at home, didn't have to worry about school, and could socialize to her heart's content. Sometime last week her parents had mentioned family coming over and immediately her heart was set on her cousin Chelsea. It didn't take very long before Elizabeth got tired of her brother's company. Hartley wasn't annoying as much as the fact of the matter was that he was a male and had his differences. She loved her twin but it didn't set aside the fact that they didn't have much in common. Aside from her mother, she was usually severely drowned by the males in her home - her father included - and would certainly appreciate a visit from her aunt as well as her cousin. Chelsea's existence was part of the reason why Elizabeth was lobbying to be a Slytherin - a decision her father wasn't entirely for.
Adrian, on the other hand, was not fond of the summer as much as his daughter. He still had things to attend to no matter what time of the year it was and keeping an eye on his daughter was one of those things. Elizabeth was a beautiful girl - he couldn't tell her she wasn't - but that was what worried him. He didn't want anyone taking advantage of her as well. But this didn't seem to be any problem to Elizabeth who was quite content thinking that there weren't going to be any issues when it came to deal with boys. That was really his only worry. Especially since she seemed to have her heart set on becoming a Slytherin in the fall. He wouldn't have minded for Hartley to be sorted into Slytherin and have her take after Katie in the aspect of being a Gryffindor. He spotted Elizabeth skipping down the stairs and towards the door. He waved his wand at the door and it locked. "Where do you think you're going, missy?" He asked her with his arms folded. Elizabeth huffed. "Mum said I could go out. Mum! Dad's being a jerk!" She said with a grin on her face, walking over to rub the top of her father's head.
Adrian swatted at her. "Don't mess with my hair! I'm just making sure you aren't running off and getting yourself into trouble." He leered at his daughter. She was too similar to him for him to be comfortable with. But it amused him all at once.
