WHO Hermione Granger (~2002), Blaise Zabini (~2013), and OPEN. WHEN 13 July 2013, around 4:30pm maybe? WHERE Auror Headquarters, Ministry of Magic, London. WHY because she runs into him on accident! RATING lord, who knows! STATUS open, incomplete.
Hermione had been home for a week. And by home, she meant in muggle London. After doing three hours of talking on the first day she got back, her father let her stay with him. She made up some elaborate story about her house being fumigated and explained she had put herself under a glamour to protect herself. Her father bought it, but barely, so she had been staying there and trying to keep out of his way. She didn't need him to suspect anything more than he had. She had missed him, though, and the hug he presented her with at the door was one she kept in mind as she kept herself holed up in her old bedroom. She spent the first two days back curled up in her bed, coming down to make dinner for herself and her father, before retreating back into her room with the dishes. She didn't know where to start. She knew she was years in the future and thought going out in public would not be a wise idea. She could run into someone - or even worse, herself - and ruin the rest of her natural life as she knew it if she ever managed to get back to the past.
But, on that Saturday, she decided she was going to have to buck up and get some answers. She was not taking no and she was going to find out as much as possible. She put on her jacket and told her father that she was going to check into things for the Ministry and she might not be back in time for dinner. But she didn't know that yet. She put on a pair of sunglasses before walking out of the front door to her house. She ducked into a nearby shroud of bushes and Apparated in front of the Ministry building. She frowned a little bit, looking around. Of course her surroundings were different, she was about ten years in the future. She pulled open the door and went into the building. Not many things had changed, and she hadn't expected them to change. She started towards the elevator and took it all the way to the second level. She needed to get into contact with someone who could help her and at least before she made it back to her level, she could see if someone could understand her situation.
As she went to go to a different section of the second level, she bumped into someone rather hard. She fell sideways somehow and put her hands out to stop herself from hitting the wall all the way. She saw papers fall to the floor as well. Immediately, she knelt down to help pick up the papers she had helped drop and her sunglasses fell off into the pile. She didn't think much of it because at this point, the worst person she thought could recognize her was Ron, and there was a small chance it was him. "I'm sorry," she said, frowning a little as she looked up to hand the other person papers. Then, she gasped because she recognized who it was. It was Blaise. He had probably seen her face already, but she reached down to pick up her sunglasses and tossed them onto her face swiftly. "I should probably pay more attention to where I'm going," she said, rubbing her neck and looking away from Blaise.
