She wasn't about to offer Mary a spot on the floor at Jericho's. For one she wasn't sure what he'd say about her plan once they were in private, for another, if they were heading out soon with the trio, she wanted some private time with her man before she left the town. Her attention shifted to Jericho and then she shook her head at Mary. "No, someone made me promise not to..." she shrugged a bit. Jericho did get a thwack to the ribs, whether it's for teasing Mary again or for insinuating she was a whore though is unclear.
She rose after a moment and then stretched, arching and popping her back. "Look, I'm gonna divvy up the cash for you to stay one night in private here. How the three of you split the two rooms is up to you." she figured it'd probably be girls in one room boy in the other, but she didn't know what Arlington and Simon's relationship was.. or whether Simon was gonna end up sleeping somewhere else with Nova. Wasn't clear.
Caps for the bottle of liquor and the room were turned over to Gob, then she smoothed her hair back and sort of meandered a weaving path out and home.
Simon interactions with Nova were strictly limited to her showing him where the tub was. While it filled, he shaved, though the effort was likely to be mostly wasted by morning. The water wasn't overly clean, but it was honestly better than he'd been expecting, and there was soap on hand. Washing the grime off himself had taken a little longer than he'd estimated, but not by too much. At least he felt about a million times better. He'd been craving that bath for days.
When he made his way down the stairs again, he was wearing a different set of clothes, but not terribly unlike the ones he'd had on previously. They were a bit cleaner, and at least smelled better. By the time he got back to the table he frowned a little in confusion. "We lost one." His gaze moved to Jericho. "Where's your partner in crime?"
Arlington glanced up when Nova reappeared a moment later, huh, that was unexpected. Then again Ceara and Mary had both been talking about being virgins, maybe Simon was too. That'd explain things a little bit better. She rose and went to go collect the key from Gob then returned to her seat. Both keys placed in front of her. All of the rooms are belong to Arlington!
She only looked back up from her coloring when Simon came back to the table and she nodded at the statement. Ceara had gone home it seemed. She had bought them another room though, look. She pointed to the key.
"Takin' a piss I think," Jericho was standing up, slinging his rifle over his back. He slapped Simon on the shoulder and grinned, "I bettah go make sure she don't get lost. Guess I'll be seein' you fuckahs around, eh?"
He offered the three of them a jaunty sort of wave and strolled out. It wasn't until the door had shut completely and Mary exhaled a long, world-weary sigh.
"What an awful man," she said mutinously, though she kept her voice low as though he might hear, "I wish he didn't live here. I don't want to be useless, but I don't think he'd be willing to give me much of a change to prove myself, either."
Though Ceara seemed to somewhat be in his camp, she was more lenient when it came to her. She could have just been placating him so he didn't keep going on about other, more disgusting topics. Mary looked at Simon and Arlington both, and she very nearly smiled at them.
"I wanted to thank you again," she said quietly, "For your... tolerance of me. I know I do not seem like a terribly useful human being, but if you give me a chance, I do want to pull my weight. I want to survive out here. Anything so I don't have to go back."
Mary winced at how desperate the last part sounded, but there was nothing for it.
