WHO: Melody O'Neill and OPEN WHAT: Week 15 experiment WHEN: Day 99 - afternoon WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Open, Ongoing
It had been a week since Melody found herself in this strange little town and, despite laying low and doing some exploring, she hadn't managed to figure out much of anything. She was frustrated by the lack of information she managed to find, despite spending the better part of two days in the library. According to Uncle Daniel, research was always the key to solving any puzzle, but that didn't seem to be holding true in this case. She also spent time reading through the journal from the box she found when she arrived. It was startling to realize that there were so many children stuck in this place, especially if it really was some sort of experiment. What kind of monsters experimented on children?
She was feeling a little off today and couldn't figure out why. The last person she touched was her mother, so she currently had rapid cellular regeneration which meant she shouldn't be able to get sick at all. Remembering the nutrition lessons that her father gave them, she made sure to drink a lot of water, but that only seemed to make things worse. Every time she stood up, she felt a little dizzy. When she tried drinking a soda, thinking maybe she needed the sugar, her stomach started to hurt too. If she didn't know any better, she would think she was drunk, but that was impossible when she had her mother's ability. It had won her several bets in college when she managed to drink stupid frat guys under the table.
Late afternoon, she was fed up by everything and decided to wander around town a bit more. Apparently it was close to St. Patrick's Day wherever they were because everything was decorated for the holiday and there were green snacks and drinks everywhere. As she was walking, it started to rain. That was just her luck. After drinking more water, she decided she just didn't care though and laughed, twirling around, arms spread wide. Whatever was going on defied explanation so she may as well just embrace the crazy and have a good time.
