WHO: Rikki Chadwick & OTA Rachel Berenson
WHAT: bb!Rikki is lost
WHEN: Day 92 after the blackout
WARNINGS: None? IDK, TBD
STATUS: Complete
When Rikki woke up, she immediately noticed that a) she wasn't on a bed, and b) she was not at home. At all. This building didn't look anything like her home. The single room she was in was bigger than the whole trailer! "Ohhhh boy..." she muttered, looking warily around what appeared to be some kind of museum. She thought she would remember if she'd fallen asleep in a museum of all places...especially since she'd never been to one. "Dad?" she called out. "M—" she started to call out for her mum before remembering that she'd left them a few days ago and still hadn't come home. Rikki wondered if she ever would. Wandering out of the museum, Rikki looked around outside and it wasn't anything like home. There were buildings and trees, but there should've been a beach and more trailers. This was not the trailer park. "Crap, crap, crap...Dad?!" she called out, panicking a little. "Dad!" Oh man, she was so toast. So toast. Rikki would be grounded until Uni; that was it, she'd never get to do anything cool ever again. "I'm..." she started and then realized she had no idea how to finish the sentence. Scared? Not really, just worried that she was going to get in trouble. Lost? Absolutely, but if she was lost, then the likelihood was that her dad already knew that. And she had no idea where she was...hence, lost. So calling out her location didn't really seem to make sense. There wasn't even a museum anywhere near the trailer park, and it wasn't like she could drive or anything. At six years old, Rikki Chadwick was a tiny version of her former self, with just as much moxie and confidence, but with less of a bite, because she didn't quite have the sarcasm down just yet. When she thought she saw someone walking down the road, Rikki called out. "Hey! Hey you," she cried, her high-pitched voice drawling with a thick Australian accent. "Hey, I'm lost, I don't know where I am. You got a phone or somethin' so I can call my dad?" |
