"Mmm. Right. Time and all." That and kissing strangers. Only to him, she wasn't a stranger. And he didn't really feel like a stranger to her, knowing her inside and out as he did. But there he'd never kissed her in his realm and had here. Something else to use to try and put the puzzle together. What made here different? Why kiss someone who practically thought you were a stranger instead of someone who was the best of friends? Fear of rejection? Oh, he shouldn't fear that one bit.
His hand was on her arm, now, rubbing lightly, and she was about ready to melt. There was something off, but she attributed it to him holding her the way he was, having just kissed her and all. Being all new to each other and stuff. Right. That was it.
"You know...future me? She was an idiot for not doing this more often. I'm just...you know, just saying." Was she babbling? Like a damned fool, she was. She sounded all of thirteen and on her first date. Refusing to let him run off just yet, she reached up, ruffling the damp but slowly drying ends of his hair. "There, that's better. You just don't look the same with the flat look."
