Rating: PG-13?

No matter how she tried, Illyana couldn't get her thoughts to stop circling. Doug's death. Piotr's death. The rest of the X-Men dying. Now, Gambit dying, along with, from what she could gather, nine other people. What was the point of it? People died all the time; she knew this. Hell, she'd killed her fair share of people in her short life. But so much senseless death in such a short time was wreaking havoc on her already unbalanced psyche. She'd wandered aimlessly since the monitors went black, avoiding the rest of the town's inhabitants, except for notes in journals. She wasn't sure she was safe to be around. She felt the frustration building in her, and was afraid that if she actually ran into someone, she might end up lashing out and hurting them. And that, Illyana would not be able to live with.

However, the frustration built and built, and needed some sort of an outlet soon, or it would drive her mad. Helplessness was not a feeling that agreed with the young mutant. She had to do something. Her wandering, which was more like angry stalking, eventually brought her out to the edge of the woods. She froze in her tracks, staring at the darkened forest. A slow, wicked grin came to her lips. Trees. Who'd miss the trees? Harmless way to vent her frustrations, right? And maybe, it would get her noticed by the people she wanted to hurt. Because even though she'd just seen a fellow mutant die, Illyana felt confident in her own powers and sorcery to think it wouldn't happen to her. Teenaged immortality. Or stupidity.

She marched out into the woods, until she could no longer make out the road behind her. Then, she let her frustration and anger out in a long, loud scream. Screaming helped. It really did. But it didn't take away her desire to smash things. She summoned her armor and soulsword with a thought, and swung the blade at the trees. It passed through them as if they didn't exist, as she figured it would. It couldn't hurt things that weren't tainted with magic, after all. She let the sword clatter to the ground, and, with another scream, formed a small fireball in her hands and hurled it at the tree nearest to her. Her magic was weak here, like it was at home, but it was enough to leave a singe-mark on the tree, and Illyana grinned in satisfaction. Although she couldn't tell, her eyes flickered between their natural blue and demonic yellow. She could, however, feel the fangs and horns begin to grow from her jaw and head. She hurled another few little spells at the trees, reveling in the damage they did, imagining she was attacking the people who'd trapped her here, who'd killed all those people on the TVs today. She was completely absorbed in her own twisted catharsis.

Ramirez had been out, looking around for something he could use as a weapon. A sword would be nice, but he didn't see anything remotely close to that anywhere around. However, a loud feminine scream was heard nearby. And it didn't sound happy or scared. It came from the direction of the woods. So naturally, Ramirez went off to find out what it was with caution. Upon arriving, he found the woman with a sword on the ground, and fire being shot out at the trees though it didn't appear to have much effect. The silver-haired admiral would cross his arms and observe silently, not making any noise. After some time, he clapped his hands together a few times. "You made some singes. Very good! Now you need to work on turning things to ash." He said with a smug look upon his face.

Upon hearing a voice behind her, Illyana whirled around, snarling. In the dim light from her fires, she was able to just make out the young man's features. And, was he clapping? She glared at him, but took a few deep breaths to try and calm herself down a little. She had enough sense of self to realize it was probably a fellow prisoner.

"It's harder here," she said, her tone holding a slight warning. "Don't have real access to the source of my powers here." She managed a grin which might look a bit feral, since her fangs hadn't gone away yet. Nor had her horns, but she hadn't noticed that particular problem. "You should see me when I'm at home."

Ramirez continued to smirk at her with a smug look on his face. She seemed very confident in her abilities at full power, though he saw it as merely an excuse of lacking enough real power. Then again, in his current state he didn't have much he could do himself. Without his sword or moon crystals, he was practically naked. Only his dexterity and agility were left really, and his physical strength.

"It is harder here. The bastards have taken everything away from us that we can use against them. So we'll have to find alternatives to track them down and destroy them." Ramirez was very vocal of his disdain towards their captors. He wanted them to show themselves so he could break their necks.

He kept smirking. Why was it her luck to get the ones who reminded her of people at home? It was the sort of thing Kitty and Piotr's friend Logan did. But then, he seemed to sympathize with her when he spoke. Maybe he was one of those likable jerks, or something.

Illyana nodded. "I'm starting to see just how much they've taken away from me," she said, growling just a bit in frustration. The singes on the tree weren't bad, but at home she could command her magicks better than this. She reached down and took her sword, concentrating for a moment until it faded away. Not like it was doing her any good here. Her armor faded as well, leaving her just in her tank top and jeans again. She looked at the man carefully, as if sizing him up. "So what can you do?" she asked.

The smirk remained. This woman was interesting. Not a normal human, and someone who seemed to have some power. She might be useful against these unknown captors, though the current state looked rather numbed down than what she was normally.

"They've taken quite a bit away from me. Without my sword or moonstones, I don't have much to use here." The singes on the trees looked more amusing than anything. If he had a red moonstone, he could burn down this entire forest. In either case, to answer her question the silver-haired man would glance over to a squirrel not too far off, running about. Closing his eyes, he held out his hand for a moment and concentrated. Silver light circled around him, as he then held up his hand into the air, eyes opening he would exclaim one word.

"Eternum!" With that, the creature fell over dead instantly. The light faded, and he sighed while turning back to look at her. "It doesn't work well on more powerful creatures. The only other things I can do at the moment are more curative skills." Spoke Ramirez, brushing some of his hair back a bit. "I suppose its better than nothing. I need to find a sword somewhere...at least then I'll feel more comfortable."

Another sorcerer, possibly like herself. She watched his display with the squirrel carefully, part of her feeling suddenly jealous that he had that much even remaining to him. Her own power seemed lesser by comparison. "Still impressive," she admitted, her eyes flicking from her companion to the dead squirrel.

Moonstones? Must be how he channeled his power, Illyana surmised. Or perhaps they were imbued with energy, like talismans, like blood-stones, and served as an amplifier for his powers as well.

"I've got a sword, but it isn't much use here," she said. "It can't strike things that aren't tainted with magick or demonic in nature." She scowled. "A normal sword would make me feel better, too." But of course she couldn't have one. Then she'd have two ways to attack her captors, and one of them would definitely work.

"Where are you from?" she asked, folding her arms in front of her chest. Not as a confrontational gesture, but as a thoughtful one. Less distracting.

Ramirez shrugged, not finding much about what he did to the squirrel to be very particularly important. It was something that worked well on weak things, but anything much stronger than the average human woul be able to avoid it, or it wouldn't work.

"Better than nothing, especially considering the type of scum that inhabit this place." Ramirez frowned, crossing his arms over his chest. The silver-haired admiral was very much put off by most people here, though this person wasn't so bad.

"I'm from...Arcadia. I doubt you know of it." No one had known of Arcadia so far, not even men from outer space! Why would anyone else know about it?

He had a point. At least she did have some sort of weapon, even if it wouldn't work on most people or things here. And who was to say the stupid jerks who'd dropped her here wouldn't send hordes of demons to attack them? If that did end up being the case, Illyana only hoped she'd manage to fight them rather than join them. She nodded to show she'd taken his point.

"Sorry," she said, shrugging at the name. Didn't ring a bell at all, and Illyana had been to some crazy places. "Ever hear of New York? That's where I'm from." She doubted he would have, since she had no clue where he was from. "Or maybe Limbo?" More likely, but probably not still, and it wasn't a place she hoped he knew.

"What brings you out to the middle of the woods so late?" she asked, tilting her head to the side slightly. Maybe he'd wanted to let off some steam as well. She had no clue if he'd known anyone on the monitors or not, but even watching strangers die like that was enough to get her hackles up - maybe it had been for him too.

"New...York? No." Limbo sounded like something some-what familiar. People called the land of the dead limbo sometimes. "Limbo..if familiar. The Land of the Dead is sometimes called this by the common people. Really, its nothing more than a very low part of the sky." Not thinking really if she'd understand that part about the 'sky' or not.

"Trying to figure out a course of action, against our captors. And to find a way back. They're sick, and they even experimented on me and others. Took my kidney." Ramirez spoke, rubbing his side briefly where his kidney used to be. What bastards they were.

Illyana's eyes widened for a moment as he said Limbo seemed familiar, and she tensed. But as he continued, she let her posture relax. Different concept of Limbo from her own. "Not quite like my Limbo," she said, shaking her head. "The dead don't stay in my...in the Limbo I know. Just creatures that look like demons." Bite your tongue, Illyana, or else the whole place would know what was up with you before long. This man's Limbo sounded more like the land of Hades from mythology.

"They took your kidney?" Illyana said, blinking. She shifted uncomfortably where she stood, thinking about that. She'd only been in this place two days, so she really had no idea about the experiments, aside from what she'd seen on the monitors today. "Why the hell would they take your kidney?" In a weird way, she could almost understand the torture and death - Belasco had enjoyed torture and killing, and had tried to raise her to do the same, after all - but stealing organs? What were they going to do with it, sell it on the black market somewhere? She shook her head. "That's messed up."

"Your limbo?" Ramirez raised a brow to her words. Demons? Demons were something of myth, never anything proven beyond monsters that roamed the land. Giant ones at that at times. "Demons? You mean monsters? Yes, its weird not seeing any about. I'm used to them roaming the skies like a plague." Of course, the woman would probably not know how to take such information. They both sounded incredibly odd to the other now.

"Yes, my kidney." His arms crossed, he was frowning. The subject still enraged him, especially with how they appeared to use some other fool to do it. "I don't know why they took it, I'd have stopped to ask but I woke up in a tub full of ice and some blithering idiot with a scalpel next to me covered in my blood. He didn't know anything...probably hypnotized or framed. Maybe they wanted me to kill him?" The silver-haired admiral looked away, off into the distance where he'd killed the squirrel previously.

Damn. He'd caught the possessive there. Illyana's lips thinned as she grew exasperated with her own loose tongue. "Sort of," she said, deciding to ignore that particular comment and focus instead on the idea of flying monsters that this man was talking about. "Not many fly. Mostly they walk or run." She tilted her head slightly. "So you deal with flying monsters on a daily basis?" she asked. Very odd indeed. No wonder he wanted a sword.

She blinked as he described what had happened with his kidney. "That's beyond messed up," she said. "The people who stuck us here are sick." A thought struck her. "Do they always show the experiments on TV like today?" she asked. Maybe whoever had done this wasn't a person. She remembered Betsy, and more recently Kitty, talking about Mojo, who liked putting horrible things on TV on his planet. What if they were trapped in one of his TV shows, or something?
