Entry tags:!complete, day 17, experiment, location: pharmacy/liquor store

Who: Open
What: Monitors placed around town. Please enjoy the entertainment presented to you, courtesy of TBTB
Where: The Pharmacy
When: Day 17 7:00am - close of day seventeen
Rating: TBA
Status: Active

A monitor appears on a bench outside the pharmacy.

Church and Kim Boggs are shown on this monitor taking part in the experiment "I think you took something of mine" with Church in the tub and Kim holding the scalpel. There is no sound for this monitor.

All monitors are black and white and are familiar to those characters who took part in "panic room." All are labelled "our dear departed." Monitors will go black at precisely 4:24 PM where all characters on screen will die for everyone to see.

After speaking with the Doctor in the journals, Tonks was heading off to one of the places that had a monitor and an unknown person. She wasn't sure really if she'd be able to help, but had to try anyway. There was a hustle toward the chemist's, determined footsteps carrying her quickly to the destination, as if walking faster would be able to save the people any quicker.

She had gone inside first, looking about for some sort of telly monitor, but didn't find one. Maybe people were safe now. Optimism was a rare thing, but the shapeshifter tried to have it in spades. Of course, optimism was tempered with a healthy dose of Constant Vigilance, and she was exploring every nook and cranny. It took about ten minutes for her to check the whole of the inside and start to round the outside of the building.

That was when she saw it. A television. Stepping over to it, she frowned and watched briefly. Intently. What was going on?

Once she got the idea of the scope of this matter, Tonks covered her mouth to muffle a silent shriek.

He didn't know what to think of the journal entries. It seemed that people were dying again -- and really, why would that be a surprise? -- and he wasn't exactly fond of going out in search of witnessing such events. As he was sure nobody else was. It was with his particular scare with Bones' supposed death that he had been slightly traumatized and warily walked to the pharmacy. He didn't know why he was even going but he couldn't hide from the events of the day by avoiding them, that was for sure.

Besides, it wasn't in his nature to do anyway.

He made it to the pharmacy, noticing someone else there before him. Jim sped up his pace and followed her to a television outside the building. There was a bench nearby and Jim got that disgusting twist in his stomach that made him feel physically sick and eerie all at once. A bench, inviting them to sit and watch. That was sick, fucking morbid. He ignored it and stood beside the other girl silently, peering up at the set. There was a blond woman and.. a tub. What the the hell was going on..?

"She's.. holding a surgeon's scalpel.." he breathed out, his eyes widening. Were they actually..

Hand was still covering her mouth even as she heard the voice. Didn't know this person, but it was very much an 'enemy of my enemy is my friend' sort of instinct around here. But Tonks hadn't looked away yet.

She wondered if this was what it was like, being forced to watch Dark Wizards perform their horrible curses. It was so morbid and she could do nothing but watch. That was the most fucked up part. They were taunting the rest of them with the fact that they were so powerless. "Worse than the Dark Mark.." Breathed out softly. Finally, dark eyes tore away from the screen to look at the source of the voice and she nodded slowly. "I--" No, she didn't want to continue with that line of thought.

"Do you know either of them?" Asked quietly, sympathetically.

It didn't take long for the drugs to take effect; for Leonard Church to lose his mind and stumble from that tub, towering over the much smaller Kim Boggs. He'd start to beat her senseless. He'd pound with his fist at her head and then when she'd fallen he'd kick her with heavy feet. There wuold be no stopping his wrath. For what it was worth, Kim tried. She swiped with that scalpel, but Church would not be stopped.

As the Scalpel slid from her hands Church took it up, slicing into Kim. You couldn't see his face. If you had, you'd be mortified. Church was smiling. Blood covered the floor and Kim laid there twitching. As Church moved away from the crumpled corpse the damage was evident and it was brutal. She lay there twitching some time until gasps turned to gulps and blood impeded her airway. Then Kim Boggs moved no more.

Then it all went to hell for Church, the anti coagulent setting into effect all his wounds started to bleed profusely. The blood ran first from the haphazard stitches at his side. Then it started in on those cuts from Kim. At the end, you could see the blood coming from his eyes, his nose, his ears, his mouth. You were going to watch Leonard Church bleed out.

Gulping and gasping he fell to the floor, helpless in a pool of blood that wasn't just his own. Soon, he too was still.

Off goes the monitor.

He turned from the screen and it took every damn ounce of his self control not to outright puke. He gagged, his eyes watering at the bile rising fast and quick and ruthless up his throat. It burned the edges of his mouth before he swallowed it down. Jim heaved heavy breaths, his eyes still hazy and moist.

Did you know either of them?

What did it matter now? His thoughts swirled darkly in his head, his stomach trying to settle despite the black and white gore replaying in his head. Who the hell were these people!? Why were they keeping them here? This was sick, making him fucking sick with disgust. His eyes darted to the feet of the girl beside him. How could he look at anyone around here with something not akin to distrust? To suspicion? To doubt?

Jim wiped his mouth absentmindedly.
