Terrible days were... well, they were terrible. And Church could associate the feeling with the sort of day he'd had the previous one, though not so far as to say he'd fornicated with anyone he hadn't fully intended to. In fact... the more he thought about it, the more his day had become a success, the longer it had drug on. He'd ditched the man who called himself a Captain and the woman who had at first seemed intent on following him around. He had found himself a place to sleep that, for all intents and purposes, seemed to be empty most of the time. That was good, because he would have to find himself a new place to sleep if it weren't empty.
Unless, of course, it was a pretty girl. Wait. Why was he even thinking that way? Soldiers didn't think that way. Spartans didn't think that way. Leonard glanced down at his arm as the thought crossed his mind and he pushed a finger into the vein near the curve of his elbow, face curling up into a thoughtful expression. He hadn't had any of his injections this week, that probably had something to do with it. And his initial thought was right, not receiving the hormone stoppers did have something to do with it, but not so much as he thought. Leonard really had no idea what he was... hell, he didn't remember anything from the last five years, at least.
Church was shaken from his line of thinking when he heard the little bell on the door ring and blue eyes snapped over to the glass door as it was pushed open, and he quickly assessed the other man, taking in his appearance. The first thing that came to mind was, of course, that he could easily take him in a fist fight if it came to that. Church was ten inches taller than this man, after all, and he knew what sort of enhancements he had... though he didn't have any idea that this place he was in was filled with people who weren't exactly normal. The second thing he noticed was how fantastically ugly this man was. His nose scrunched up and he took a step out of the aisle he'd been standing in, taking in his appearance.
"That's 'cause I don't like to be seen. You should think about keeping it that way, pops."
