*snerks* Yes, Jim. They're going to rape you. And you'll LIKE IT.
The very-attractive-young-man-with-quite-the-lovely-baritone-voice-now-that-she-thought-of-it was saying something about Iowa. Kim knew Iowa. What he was saying was vaguely amusing, but more than that, he seemed as out of place as Kim felt. And he was talking about sex, which, although she hadn't been associating the flush and the increased heart rate with it before, now that the thought was there...ohgod. Was this...was this...was she aroused? Really? But by what? By who? That made no sense! That was a really, really stupid idea. Okay. Get a grip, Kim.
Sadly, any grip she might have had flew out the window when Kirk asked if he was going to be raped and, to her horror, she heard the words come out of her mouth in response: "I don't know. Would you like to be raped? Because, you know, I don't think it counts as rape if you say yes..." It was a very pragmatic viewpoint, but it was how the words came out that really appalled her. It sounded like she was actually contemplating the absurd idea. Despite Kim's look of abject astonishment and consternation at her own question, however, she wasn't running from the scene. She was actually sticking around to find out what the man had to say. Well. That was...probably very ill-advised.
