Who: Tonks and..OTA
Where: Outside the Gym, then anywhere!
When: Day 13, around 8am
What: Cabin Fever Tonks takes her crutches for a spin, only to find out..she don't need 'em.
Rating: PG?
Status: Incomplete

Tonks, in spite of her cabin fever yesterday, had stayed in and pretty secluded. That, in and of itself, was ridiculously out of character for her. But things had caught up to the witch, things both emotional and physical, so she took the day to recharge her batteries. So to speak. But now Tonksy needed out. So out was what she was going to do. Grabbing the crutches that were beside her makeshift bed, the platinum blonde girl hobbled up and took a look around.

"Musta been more outta it than I thought," Muttered to herself as she noticed that there were a few things here and there that seemed fixed. But there was a shrug and she was heading out, trying to be quiet as not to disturb anybody else around. It took a minute to get used to the crutches, really, but pretty soon she was cruising around on them with a certain amount of ease.

Outside she went, all along the way noticing that things looked as they had before. Before the earthquake. Frowning slightly, she continued to the outside and stared at the building. It looked..fixed! Well, old and broken down but better than it had. "Cripes." Shaking her head, Tonks wasn't exactly going to complain or anything. Deciding to take a little crutched walk, maybe just around the gym or something, she started heading off. Right as Tonks was turning the corner, her grip on the right crutch slipped and fell to the ground.

"Fuck me," Groaned as she tried to balance on the good foot and get the crutch. Unfortunately, her balance being as it was (kind of non-existent), that broken foot came smashing down to the ground in a world of hurt and pain. Only, it didn't. And that had the Auror looking down at her feet curiously. Tentative step taken, a bit of her weight put on the foot that was supposed to be hurt. And nothing. Grinning just a little, Blondie took another step. Then another. Soon she was skipping and jumping in place. "Fuck me!" That much more cheerfully said.

Bones had spent the night in the gym. Of course he did. If any sort of medical emergency happened he was going to become involved very quickly. Like hell he was going to let those other two actors barge in and keep him from getting his points. He was going to be getting through this training mission in a most expeditious manner, thank you very much.

At the crack of dawn McCoy was awake with a start. He had expected to hear the sound of his alarm calling him for duty, instead he was staring at the ceiling of a gymnasium. Wait, hadn't the one he'd been asleep in been all sorts of twisted and broken and caved? Hot damn, somebody must have reset the whole damned thing on accident.

Pushing up and out of his cot he decided it was time to go for a leisurely stroll, getting a glimpse of the world those masterminds at Starfleet had managed to concoct. He didn't go far, just to the roads and far enough he could still keep the gym in sight. Eventually someone would call and remind the actors he was still here and then they'd go back to being broken and bloody, just like they were supposed to be.

With a sigh the physician turned and walked back in the direction of the makeshift hospital. As he got closer he spied the pink haired girl and her issue with the crutch, wincing as her foot slammed into the ground before he caught her in a moment out of character - she started walking without the crutches - like she'd thought she had actually needed them. 'Fuck me!' she exclaimed and Bones' brow rose in surprise.

"You sure you don't still need those?" He said quietly from where he leaned against a tree not too far away.

She had felt all groggy and stuff all day yesterday, and slept like a fucking rock through the nite. Which was strange because she usually slept light during the late hours. She usually slept light during the day hours, save for the day that Tonks crashed like something that crashed really hard. Maybe someone had finished up the potions she had been working on and made her take it. Still jumping around and laughing, blonde hair indeed taking on a pink hue in the process, Tonks stopped when she saw someone else around.

Grinning unabashedly, she picked up the crutches. "Well, I had yanno. But now I don't! One of the potions must have worked." Said with a nod. She'd have to talk with Luna or Merope to see who it had been.

"Did you see the gym?" Forget her foot, because that could be explained. Sort of. What was less explained was the damage that wasn't there anymore.

The doctor looked a bit perplexed. She was supposed to look annoyed, then embarrassed, and then annoyed again as she realized that the physician hadn't gone too far and she couldn't give up her act. Instead, it seemed she had decided to improvise some sort of miraculous healing. Though, perhaps when the whole kit and kaboodle reset it meant that the actors could go back to not being so dependent upon their injuries? Sure, that sounded right.

What caught Bones more off guard was the changing pigment of the woman's hair. What exactly caused that? Perhaps it was a wig? Maybe she was just some sort of chameleon bred lifeform? Oh, and by the way, the confusion was written across McCoy's features like a billboard.

"Sure," he said in a quick, drawl-less voice. "S'pose it means I get to go home soon." Yes, Tonks, he meant that.

She had no clue what was going on through his head, save for the surprise. The pink got brighter suddenly because she was blushing. Or rather, the hair was blushing for her. Tonks stayed pretty pale otherwise. "Sorry. I just wasn't too fond of the broken foot.." Who would be? She shrugged then, ruffling up her hair then. "An' it tends to show my emotions for me."

She might have explained more, or might not have. Either way, Tonks..grateful for the non-broken foot..was now quickly getting back up to speed with her normal self. Pitying and ridiculous depression never suited her well anyway. "Why would you get to go home? Oh, I'm Tonks by the way." She was walking closer now, skipping every few steps. Two feet, even if they were two left feet, was fantastic.

"That's something I haven't seen before..." The physician muttered, raising his brow shaking his head a little as his features went deadpan. He'd seen a lot of things - but, a person who's hair changed color at will? That was something new.

"Leonard McCoy," he said extending a hand. He hoped that in this scenario the people still did that. He wouldn't want to have to recoup even more points.

Well, Bones was pretty sure that the whole training mission wasn't over, even if the girl in front of him was acting like she'd been let go of her role. Maybe that's what they were instructed to do, how would he know?

So, he shrugged a little when she asked why he thought he'd be allowed to go home. No sense in losing even more points to his own stupidity.

"Do you know anyone who requires any medical assistance?" That's it Bones, stick to the script.

Any proper English person knew about shaking another person's hand. And while the Auror was not always so proper, she also wasn't raised a heathen. Or something to that effect, anyway. So she took his hand, shaking it. "Pleased to meetcha! You're new round here, yeah?" His question about needing medical assistance made her blink.

"An' a Doctor to boot." It was a good thing that they had a lot of those around. "Imagine you got a workout yesterday." Another pause, and she was tilting her head curiously. "Where's home for you, lambie?"

When Tonks enthusiastically took his hand Bones silently prayed that improving intergallactic relationships woiuld count toward his being able to get out of here. "Isn't everybody?" He asked, referring to the fact everybody must be new every couple of days or so.

He nodded as she identified him as a doctor, though the physician was starting to get the distinct feeling that she wasn't taking any of this seriously. Wait, did she just call him lambie? What, exactly, was that supposed to mean. McCoy tried really, really hard not to look taken aback. "Home? Mississippi." The other guy seemed to know what Mississippi was; perhaps this little place had some sort of Earth basis for it's locations? In all honesty, the whole thing made Bones' head hurt.

"Mm. Some more than others. I've been here.." She thought about it for a moment. Then made a face. "Nearly a week, I think." Wasn't that distressing? She ruffled up her hair, a little worried about how she had forgotten that. But, then again, what were days in these sort of situations?

Distraction was nice. "Mississippi. That's in the states, yeah? I'm from London." As if her accent didn't give her away. Another bounce, and she was rocking on her heels. "If you were the one who patched me up, you did a great job. My foot was completely broken with the earthquake and all." She wanted to go running now. "Take a walk?" Head motioned in a direction with her invitation.

"A week?" He didn't realize that they'd kept the actors here that long. That seemed a bit excessive, though, something told the doctor that they were compensated fairly well for their time.

"The states?" The 'States' didn't typically exist where he came from. Actually, the only reason he'd said Mississippi was because it was easier than saying the 'old south region of North America.' Cities and towns kept their names, and the general feeling of the 'States' kept their feeling; but, as far as it being a country? Well, they were a global society now. A global society in a universe in a galaxy. Space travel had changed everyone's outlook on their little patches of land.

"Oh, I didn't have anything to do with that..."

He was already trailing in the direction she indicated. Might as well go for a walk. Maybe he needed to assist diploatically? That was usually something left to the people in the yellow shirts the way the mechanical manipulation was left to the people in the red ones; but, hey, go with the flow McCoy.

"Yeah, where you Yanks are from right?" She tilted her head, amused more than anything else at his reaction. "Or should I call it the good ol' U.S. of A?" Tonks, when genial, was a bit of a teaser. And she was in high spirits right now.

Hands in her pockets and a bounce to her step, she started walking around and having a look about. "They patched things up lovely." Mused more to herself than anything else, but then dark eyes was peering back at her company. "So. What were you doin' before they snagged you?"

Bones shrugged, shaking his head. the good ol' U.S. of A was something he'd read about in text books (he never could manage to figure out why they didn't just call the whole damned continent Mexico or Canada or the United States or just North America...)

"I was sleeping," he responded to her question. "I was in my quarters sleeping." He sounded mildly annoyed there. Bones kind of liked his sleep.

"What about you? When you're not here doing this, what keeps you occupied?"

"S'a kind of funny way to put it." Tonks mused on this curiously,as if it was funny that he said it that way. Like she had a choice. It was funny, really. Tonks bounced along again, still in higher spirits. She got a couple of steps ahead of Bones and turned around to walk backwards.

"I'm an Auror. Which is sorta a copper where I come from?" Explaining what an Auror was was easiest when she kept it to simple Muggle terms. The witch would have kept up the guise of simply being a police officer, but the laws of secrecy didn't seem to apply. Which was both interesting and scary, because that meant that the Ministry of Magic (or the other countries' equivalents) had no jurisdiction. More scary than interesting.
