"Dr. Reid," Elliot replied automatically when Sid asked her what his name was. She glanced up at him and saw his eyes closed and then added guiltily, "Elliot."
She could see him wipe at his eyes out of the corner of her eye and she shut hers briefly. She really hoped he didn't start crying. She wouldn't know how to deal with that.
"How long have you worn glasses?" Elliot asked as she kept wrapping, wanting the whole process to be over with. She smiled when he called her a blonde blob. "It probably is the glasses," she said, nodding as she finished up rewrapping the ankle. "Are you squinting a lot?"
"Sorry. Done," she said, regarding the job with a satisfied look before reaching in her coat pocket and extracting a bottle of aspirin. She poured two in her hand and held them out to Sid. "Do you need some water?" She asked, looking for a water bottle near him. "I'll be back with something for the pain."
