"Purely here to provide the comic relief," Jack replied, giving an almost pouting look to the Doctor. "And come on, a pun like that? If I resisted you would have said there was something wrong with me." Or that Jack was a clone and, really, after the mess a few days ago, Jack didn't think they needed any more where that was coming from, did they?
He grumbled when the Doctor moved a set of timber, quickly moving to get the last bit of weight to assist the other man. Jack who loved the mantle of authority so easily bowed to the Doctor's whim, a side-effect of having travelled with the man once upon a time. Or would that be thrice-upon-a-time now?
"Yes, you," Jack said, lifting another section of the roof, wincing as a nail dug into his palm. He tossed the piece out of the way quickly applying pressure while he waited for the wound to seal over, even if there were a few muttered profanities under his breath. "With what you two have found, do you think it's enough to secure at least one wall before Logan goes to town with the metal?"
