She smirked. He seemed like the kind of guy that girls would turn tails and run from. I mean, didn't every high school have guys like him? Granted, Laura had always hung out with them. She was poor, they were poor, and it wasn't like they all had a whole hell of a lot of ambition. They'd all sit around and talk about nothing. They'd smoke weed, she'd smoke cigarettes, they'd drink, and then the party would start.

"Yeah. I'm an uncontrollable shit show once I've had a few. I don't know how many people in my graduating class had seen my underwear, at least, by the time I left high school."

Ah, good times. Well, not really. Good times were after she met Shadow. But there was something wonderful about having been so wild.

"So, when you say shit yeah, does that mean that you like men too? Or is that supposed to be encouraging me not to suddenly become a lesbian without notice?"

Reaching out, Laura gave him a playful shove. She had to be very careful not to use too much force. "And, for the record, how can I? I can't." She shrugged. "But I do." Guilt could be a mood killer, though it was faint at best.
