Laura Moon ([info]spitandviolets) wrote in [info]vas_captio_rpg,
It was a bit of an overstatement, say that she loved having some beers. She was fine with it, and she could deal with it. It was sterile, at least, and maybe a preservative. One could hope. She was at least hoping it wouldn't make her decline faster.

Seeing his grin, Laura gave him back a reserved sort of smile, best described as a sad, lopsided, hopeful smirk. She liked the way he smiled. How she'd been existing as of late, not enough people smiled. He looked younger when he did that, not that he looked that old to begin with. How old was he, anyway? She felt ancient in comparison with everything else.

Huh. Shannon sure was making a name for herself. Good for her. She felt bad that she'd spent all day in her refrigerator instead of out trying to break the glass. It seemed, though, that people were starting to accept being there, and they didn't seem so resolved to get out of there as soon as possible. Not having to have broken anything trying to fight the glass was a good idea. She was going to try to wait as long as possible before people needed her strength and her speed.

Join forces, huh? What did she have to offer in the way of forces? Well, it was cooler at night, and it was easier to pass for human at night. What was there to do for a town at night? Her thought train paused for a moment. She didn't need to sleep, and it was cooler at night. She had superhuman speed and strength, and she could see in the dark as clearly as if it were noon. Also, she could feel people. She'd know if someone was moving who wasn't supposed to be. That decided it. "Can I join forces too?" she remarked, sipping at her beer. No need to hurry; Jay probably needed them much more than she did. "I won't take any of the cool superheros. I'll just be the flash. And, since I don't sleep, I'll play night watchman. I can make a whole bunch of trips around the town before sunrise. It'll help, having someone to keep track of things, making sure no one kills you humans while you sleep."

Who was she? That was an interesting one. "I was called Laura, Laura Moon. It's as good a name as any, so I still go by that. I was from Eagle Point, Indiana. I was a travel agent, but I never went anywhere in my whole life. I always thought you couldn't get addicted to marijuana, but I never did drugs other than alcohol and cigarettes, so I really wouldn't know. I hate people who decide to hurt other people for absolutely no reason. Humans have too much hate. And I loved cock," she smirked, those dark eyes flicking up to his face, staring at him, "you could say, to death." She never imagined in a million years that she would have ended up a whore.
