Dean let her hold his hands. He wasn't going to move them from her grasp until she let them go. He'd gotten into this good mood and he was determined to share it with someone he enjoyed being around right now. There was no way he was losing it just yet even if she wanted to talk business. At least if she talked business he'd get the splinters taken care of and then he could tease her some more in the hopes of getting more kisses out of her. How long could it take to get splinters out?
Then she kissed him and it caught him off guard completely. Not in a bad way because he could roll with the punches with the best of them. No, it was just surprising that she was still into going with the flow they'd started two days ago. A very welcome surprise. He grinned.
"Wait, wait," he spluttered. "Kissing you makes time go faster? I'm going to die sooner?" He looked dubious for a moment and licked his lips slowly as though he was thinking. She was playing the game. He couldn't second guess it now. That had been a clear sign and he was not letting that moment go by him untouched. Not a chance.
Leaning in, he whispered, his lips brushing hers as he did, "Better make the most of it then, huh, Doc?" he asked and kissed her. He pulled her closer but he didn't lock her to him. It seemed a bit much to visit her and automatically pick up where they left off. Even if he brought flowers. Still, he did kiss her with the same insistence as last time they'd locked lips. He was going to send his own message. He wasn't entirely playing around.
