Tonks had been wanting to check out the forest for a bit, after an idea that sparked between herself and Luna. Luna had got that Cheering Spell working without a wand, which was quite wicked, and Tonks thought that a few potions..which Snape always said didn't require "ridiculous wand-waving"..would be a good thing to have.

The thing about potions though, was that you had to have ingredients. And the thing about ingredients was that you had to find them. So that was why the witch had gone into the forest early in the morning. Leaf-green hair was likely visible, simply because it was attached to a woman who was trampling along.

Constant vigilance. Tonks doubted that she could forget Moody's mantra even if she tried. So, even while not trying to keep quiet, she was on the lookout for strange things. Hands were dirty from her already having dug here or there in the damp soil. She wiped them on her bluejeans and then stopped, looking around. "Good a place as any to look again." Said to herself as she started studying the flora in the area. The witch crouched down, poking at a leaf here or there, digging in the ground as she racked her brain in hopes that she'd be able to put together the memory of various potion ingredients together with possible said ingredients in the wild.

Because Sarah didn't sleep she chose to not claim any of the run down buildings as her own. None of the humans would probably be searching that hard for her at night and even if they did she could always argue the Night Watch card. Instead, Sarah had been finding trees on the edge of the forest to live in.

She had been leaning back in her branch with her eyes closed when she heard a body walking below her. Quietly she leaned over and looked for who it could be. The green hair caught her off guard and she was unsure of who it was. Rather than jumping down from the high branch she chose to let herself fall off only turning in time to have her feet land on the ground before any serious impact could happen.

Sarah walked up behind the new person and leaned over her shoulder to see what she was doing. Something about digging. "Hello." she said when she finally got bored trying to figure it out for herself.

She thought the rustling that she had heard was coming from the trees in front of her, not from behind her. So Tonks had paused in her digging briefly to look about.

And was slightly surprised by the voice that came up behind her. "Oi, don't go sneaking up on a bird like that." The brightly coloured woman didn't sound upset or anything. Just a little startled. But then she was smiling, wiping her hands on her trousers. "Hullo. I didn't interrupt nothin' did I?" Interrupt what, she wasn't sure. But the other woman had to be doing something out here.

"...bird...?" she asked but brushing it off noting the british accent. "You're from England?" she said it as a rhetorical question rather than an actual question in need of confirmation. "I have never been there though I have heard it is nice."

Sarah shook her head at the idea of this woman interrupting her. "Interrupting? No, I live in the trees." she shrugged, "It puts me a bit behind on who joins the captivity but it's better than having no where to go." Sarah offered the woman her hand, "I'm Sarah Vida. I do not believe we have met."

"Oh, I love it!" She loved home. Missed it too. And the people there. Tonks wiped her hands again, trying to get the majority of the dirt off. "I don't think we have! Tonks. Sorry for the dirty hand, yeah?"

Wait. Even though she was shaking Sarah's hand, Tonks was looking at the other woman a little funnily. "You..live in the trees? Dangerous, innit?" Already, Tonks was worried a bit. "Do you chime in on the journals often?" Honestly, she didn't think so. The witch didn't recall any particular handwriting identify itself as Sarah. "I mean, so others know you're round and all."

"It's fine." Sarah laughed at the hand and shook it.

"Yeah...it...it really is." she pulled her hand back and looked a bit sad, "I have kept up with the journal...but...I've actually been taken away recently...I'm not sure where they took me and I actually have no recollection of what happened to me." she hated thinking about the time lapse she had. Especially since she didn't ever sleep she should not have a problem like that. "I suppose the tree thing did make me an easy target but...what can a girl do huh?" she tried to joke.

"Cripes! Are you okay? I mean.." Obviously, it wasn't an okay situation. Tonks had been here three days now, and still was getting the lowdown on how insane the place was.

A wry smile appeared at the joke attempt, but she lifted her eyebrows. "A girl can get where there's more folks." She pointed out with a small chuckle. "I'd imagine it's more difficult to snag people in groups." Little did the witch know that that was not the case, really.

"I think I'm alright." Sarah held out her arms, "I'm still in one piece at least." she shrugged, "Just be careful alright? I'm a member of the Night Watch but there is still only so much I can catch." she hated to say that since she heard there was another body found earlier in the day.

Sarah let out a faint laugh. She understood where Tonks was coming from but she was worried that she might cause more harm than intended if she stayed around the humans. Not to mention someone might pick up on the fact she didn't sleep...at all. Not to mention that she was well...undead. "Perhaps it'd be better. I've been away from town for a while though. I mean more than usual during the day. I tend to keep to myself...I wouldn't know the first place to even go..." she let herself trail off as she tried to answer.

She eyed the other woman thoughtfully, then smiled. "Well, there's a few places. The gymnasium has got a lot of people, and the theatre?"

With that, Tonks was dusting off her hands again, streaking dirt on her bluejeans. "Wherever you go, there'll be people to help, I know that much." While not everyone got on famously, they were at least willing to lend a helping hand. That was important.

"A member of the Night Watch, eh? I'd like t'help out with that. I can fight alright." Not as good as she normally could, though. But maybe..The witch was thinking about it.
