His mind worked busily as Locke wandered almost idly down the center of the road. He wasn't paying much conscious mind to where he was currently going though he did know that he intended to ultimately find himself at the pharmacy - not that he could be sure that what he was ultimately seeking could be found even there but it seemed the best chance. Besides, even if he couldn't find what he was after, he knew that he could at least find a pleasant variety of beverages and a long evening spent drinking seemed the kindest way to end this rather confusing and trying day.

Of course, there was something to be said for a sober mind if such could help him stumble across a usable code - if not for the enclave in general then just for himself and Jean. It still worried Locke that whoever ran this place had such easy access to all his secrets and, though he could lie well, it helped him when he wasn't working at an impossible disadvantage. A code would be a step in the right direction to finding solid ground but the one he currently had in mind rather depended upon finding a few critical ingredients.

"Where is the godsdamned pharmacy?" Locke muttered under his breath as he came to a temporary halt. He was still a bit too new to the area to know the exact location of all the buildings and he had stupidly left his journal back with the rest of his things. "If this means wandering about all day then I might as well give it up right now."

He had gotten enough of a lead from the journals and, judging by the map in the journal he should be able to find his way fairly easily. It would be navigating the snow that would be the hardest part. Maybe, judging by the map, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to hit the thrift store first and see if there was something he could use. Canes should be that hard to come by and worst case, he'd pull down a damned branch.

Let's just hope it didn't come to that.

Hobbling down the road (if it could be called that), House moved slowly, his leg starting to throb the longer he went without vicodin. Now it was the simple choice what meant more: the pain relief or the aid in walking. The answer was simple. Vicodin.

"Where?" House asked, hearing another speak. "Trying to figure that out for myself, to be honest. Snow and finding a path, however is far from easy. And here I thought this place was supposed to be a walk in the park."
