The Doctor ([info]fromgallifrey) wrote in [info]vas_captio_rpg,
The clone shrugged off the argument and the Doctor decided that perhaps the clone did have some level of intelligence. Perhaps not his level of intelligence, but some.

"You didn't put any facts in front of anyone. I havea feeling that you don't know any more about this situation than I do - and what I do know is that there is still plenty of hope to be had. Plenty of things that can still be tried and most importantly, plenty of brilliant human minds wandering about this place that can come up with things that you and I can't even begin to dream of." Oh, idealistic Doctor, such hope for humanity and it's promise - the Doctor believed firmly that man-kind has the potention to be just as ingenious as dangerous.

The Doctor shrugged off the remainder of his clones idle attempts at getting a rise out of him. The Clone was speaking from a point where all he wanted to do was upset and demoralize. The Doctor would be neither upset nor demoralized.

It wouldn't be fair to say the Doctor was upset by the clone - more accurate would be that he didn't wnat the clone going about and messing with the delicate balance of the people here. That made the Time Lord annoyed - that tiny flicker of a rage that sat quite well controlled int he back of his mind.

"So, your lifespan is limited then?" The doctor should have remarked as to what a shame that was. Problem being that he didn't appreciate being impersonated by a clearly inferior model. Should someone asked him if he'd ever like to meet himself (and technically he had... several times) he would most certainly have to qualify that they have the same personality as he.
