Rubber boots was a familiar word already. Watanuki paused and bent down to take two pairs of large rubber boots, one yellow and the other olive green. "Like these?" he asked, offering them to Ianto for inspection. "These are the ones in best conditions, I think." Looking at the other man's shoes, Watanuki felt that he really did need a pair of boots. His feet were probably wet by now.
He thanked Ianto as he helped move the shoes away from the floor. He did have a point about preventing mold. "I wouldn't mind coming here regularly to keep this place in order," Watanuki said. "Even if I decide to stop at the museum, and I'd have to ask if everybody was okay with it first." He was about to add that the thrift store looked terrible before he cleaned it up, but it still looked terrible after the water had seeped in so he kept his mouth shut. He did wonder how long it had been abandoned, though. If the weather was so crazy here it was surprising that the store hadn't been flooded many time in the past already.
