Watanuki sounded like he had a fairly calm day. There was nothing wrong with any of that, given that Ianto's day was weird. Not overly dangerous. Just very very weird. Sadly, he was used to very very weird. Now, if he only had a cup of coffee, he'd feel almost at home.

Instead of thinking about it too hard, or even at all, for that matter, Ianto picked his way across the remains of town, journal open to the map someone had made a few days ago. His destination was the thrift shop, specifically for perfume bottles and the like. Anything they could pour Weevil spray into. Seeing all the flooding, though, Ianto wondered if the shop might have sustained damage from the melting snow. While he was certain there wasn't much there in the way of things they'd want to wear, anything could be useful. So it was in their best interest to maintain it.

That and he was sort of hoping for a pair of Wellies. His shoes weren't suited to this sort of abuse at all. Pausing at the shop's front door, Ianto took a good long look around and tried to wipe his shoes off as best he could. When he spied someone else making their way through slush and mud, he decided to wait for them, to see who it was. And possibly to make certain that the way was clear for them. He didn't think there'd be an attack, though.
