The tally had been done and Domeki found this one before him wanting. It was true that the teen before him looked and sounded just like Watanuki but the words, beliefs, and behaviors were all wildly inaccurate - Watanuki would never act in this way which meant that the body standing here either had to be Watanuki possessed or some manner of doppelganger.
Until he could be sure which of the two was true, Domeki would be careful not to harm the body - but he wouldn't allow it to do any harm either. He glared and reached to save Bell from what he assumed to be an unexpected and unwanted kiss but Domeki hardly had time to move before Watanuki had released her on his own. He took a quick step to stand in front of the fairy - just in case Watanuki thought to try anything further.
"The bitterness must have come from yourself - the emotion seems to come naturally to you and it taints all of your words," he stared steadily at the form before him as he tried to sort through the best way to deal with the situation. He didn't want to hurt the body but he really couldn't allow this Watanuki to wander around and to damage the reputation of his friend. His thoughts wandered to the bow he had found but he hadn't thought that he'd need it for something as routine as this - and he didn't know if what he used to banish spirits would work in a situation such as this. "You may want to be more careful of yourself or you may find yourself banished from this place."
Glancing over his shoulder, Domeki looked to Bell with sympathy. He could guess how the fairy would take the unkindness which this Watanuki had treated her but the words to soothe the wound were not forthcoming. "Don't listen to him, Bell. He doesn't know what he's saying. We'll take you someplace safe, alright?"
