Day 7, early evening
Who: Sid and Wolverine
What: Catching up
When: early evening
Where: Theater
Rating: PG-13 for language
Status: Active

It had been another busy day, so far. Logan'd left the library at dawn and hadn't returned yet. Wasn't worth it, since there were people needing digging out. He'd managed to get the theater door clear, so they could get in and out ... mostly because George'd rolled down a fucking drift to get /out/ and getting back in that way was chancy at best.

He dusted his hands off and then shrugged deeper into his multiple layers. Even he started feeling the cold after a while, so he stepped into the theater for a bit to warm up.

Sid was back to throwing the rubber ball against things and bouncing it back to himself for lack of anything better to do. He hadn't felt like staying secluded, simply because it made him feel a bit more lonely and isolated than he cared for, so after retrieving it, he'd gone back upstairs, hunkered down into the seat in the audience that he'd claimed as his own, and was tossing the ball against the door.

He was about to throw the ball again when the door started to open which...well, freaked him out a bit, since he and Jenny had had to climb back up the drift to get inside again. The door had been blocked off and how it was opening now was beyond him.

But then in stepped a familiar face and Sid pocketed the rubber ball, standing. "Hey mate. How'd you...?" he asked, letting his voice trail off as he gestured toward the door.

Logan glanced up at the voice, then grinned. "Hey there, kid." Then he snorted. "I don't give up easy. It ain't a snow shovel, but a plank of wood from the floor of the library still moves snow. Howya been?"

Sid grinned slightly as he stretched his limbs. "Where were you a few hours ago?" he joked. "When I had to climb up the bloody snowdrift to get back inside after walking one of the girls to the petrol station?" He shrugged a bit in response to Logan's question. "All right," he replied. It wasn't like he'd gotten up to anything interesting.

"Sorry about that. Was over at the gym working with George, then did some other shit, or I'dve been over here sooner." Logan said. "Nobody giving you shit or anything?" He snorted. "Other than Ror in the journals anyway. That guy's a first-class asshole." He leaned against the wall. "Got yourself set up all right?"

Call him a mother hen and DIE.

Giving a shrug, Sid shook his head. He'd only really been joking in any case. "'s all right," he replied. Once Logan had cleared the door, Sid threw the ball at it again, catching it when it bounced back. "Nah, mate, no one even really sees me there and that bloke is a poofter; he just doesn't want anyone to know, so the way I figure, he's being a twat out of self-defense, so I don't really mind." He smirked.

"All set, yeah, there's a couch downstairs; think I might stay there tonight rather than up here in the chairs. It's missing cushions, but at least I'd be able to lay down and not have to worry about falling off something or waking up to pudding in my face," he explained. "How about you? Settled in somewhere, yeah?"

Logan snorted in amusement. "Poofter?" He could guess from the context what it meant, but the word amused him. "Hell of a way to call someone gay. Wonder if he'd get it ... and for the record, I think you're right. Tight jeans? Please."

He nodded. "Cool. And yeah, I have. I'm right next door, actually, in what's left of the library in this hellhole." He eyed the ball, debating on trying to catch it if the kid threw it again, just to mess with him.

Sid smirked. "Yeah, poof, poofter...interchangeable. I suppose you're used to 'fag' instead?" he asked, remembering what he'd been told on the journals between George and Dean. Maybe still others. "I don't think you're the only one who thinks I'm right, actually. Classic closet case, yeah?"

Nodding, Sid tried to think if he'd bothered to peek into the library on his search while Logan had been at the carnival on their first day, but he didn't think he had. No, definitely not, when he thought about it. He tossed the ball back and forth between his hands absently. "So what brings you in, mate?" If Logan was staying next door, it stood to reason he wasn't in need of a quick pit stop to warm up.

"Fag and faggot, yeah." Logan said, then nodded. "The entry Shannon put in the journal asking if anyone was gay and willing to bang him to get him to shut up was ... rather priceless."

He shrugged. "Was out there long enough to get cold, and since I'm gonna be patrolling in an hour or so, just figured I'd warm up in here. Library's missing part of its roof, so it's not all that warm in there." Then he snorted. "Besides, I like checking up on folks. Thought I remembered something in the journal about you settling here, so I figured I could kill two birds with one stone."

Laughing, Sid nodded. "Right yeah, I saw that one," he agreed, amused. "She ever get any takers?" he joked.

The idea that Logan was still interested in checking up on Sid to make sure he was all right was a bit difficult for Sid to really and truly process, but he knew he liked the feeling it gave him. Like he was worth a shit to somebody. Even if it felt a bit like his mum after Chris's funeral when he'd gotten pissed and stayed the night at Tony's instead of going back home. It was a nice feeling...it would just take some time to get used to. "Right, yeah, I hadn't thought of that," he replied in reference to the library's mangled roof. "What've you been doing with yourself, anyway?" he asked.

"Nope. Nobody's that desperate. At least, not yet. And probably not for a good long time." Logan said. "Can't remember offhand if anyone even admitted to liking guys in the face of maybe having to 'do' Asswatcher."

"Mostly been meeting folks, getting a feel for the people around here and what they're like. Started patrolling at night with a few folks, too, to make sure nothing attacks anyone while they're sleeping."

With a facial shrug and a nod, Sid snorted a laugh. "Fair enough. 'f I was a poof, I wouldn't admit it when it came to that bloke, anyway," he agreed.

"Cool," Sid replied. He didn't really think there was anything else to say about that; nothing that wouldn't make him sound like a twat anyway. So, he just nodded. And then threw his ball in the air to catch it again before chucking it at the nearest wall away from Logan - he didn't want to accidentally hit the guy, after all - trying to catch it with one hand and grinning to himself when he succeeded. Anders would be proud, anyway, he thought. "I've not been doing much myself," he added uselessly.

"I don't think there's a person in all of existence desperate enough to go for Asswatcher." Logan said, shaking his head.

"Unfortunately, there really isn't a whole hell of a lot to do except chat with folks, brainstorm ways out of here, and deal with the experiments, so don't feel bad."

"Yeah, or sleep," Sid pointed out. "Which is what I think I'munna do, actually, the lazy fucker that I am. I'm bored...sleep kills time, yeah?" he replied with a yawn, chucking the ball at the wall again and catching it a little less clumsily than he had the first time. "I'll still see you 'round, soon, yeah?" he asked.

Logan nodded. "All right kid. I'll see you around. Take care, all right? I'm gonna stay here for a bit longer, then I'll head out."

Sid gave Logan a tired smile and a nod back. "Right, yeah. You too, yeah? I'll see you," he replied before shoving the ball into his coat pocket and heading down to the green room for some well needed R&R.
