Shizuka Doumeki ([info]throughyoureye) wrote in [info]vas_captio_rpg,
The cold had already set in quite deeply and Domeki shivered against the brisk wind. Upon setting out, he had made a point to wear the heaviest sweater which could be found and he had dug a sufficiently thick coat from the amassed pile - but the cold and the snow had managed to wear through and now he was beginning to regret not thinking of bring a pair of gloves with him. Not that they would have done much good, limiting and impairing the movements of his hands as they would have done.

Sighing quietly, he flexed his numbing fingers against the stiff wood of the bow which he still carried in his right hand. He was pleased with how his morning of exercise and teaching had gone, but he was still caught up in the optimistic hope that neither he nor Shannon would have to use a weapon while in this place - even if he knew that it was likely only a matter of time before it became a necessity.

Domeki found that he really didn't want to dwell upon this thought and so he turned his face up and into the wind - only to spot another figure, one which appeared to be waving frantically toward him. Curious as to who else would be so foolish to be out in this sort of weather, he began to jog over - and he was only marginally surprised when he recognized the approaching figure as Watanuki.

"I guess idiots don't notice the cold," was the greeting he called to his classmate and friend. It was ingrained deep in his make up that Domeki not show any pleasure at seeing his friend and he did hold up this unspoken ritual - even if he did find a small relief in noting that Watanuki seemed to be well, if not a bit cold. "What do you think you're doing out here?"
