"Well..." Shannon said reproachfully, "it's not a big deal if you don't, you know." She didn't want him to feel pressured to pull it off or more disappointed than necessary if he couldn't. And the niggling in the back of her mind pushed her to wonder if part of the appeal of being able to deliver was what she'd just said.
