Day 6: Early, early Morning
Who: Sam Winchester, Andy Gallagher, Luna Lovegood and Dean Winchester
What: Kicking off the prank war
When: Day Six, Early, early morning
Where: Church
Rating: PG-13?
Status: Incomplete

Sam let himself into the church, careful to be quiet. He knew it had at least one more occupant than it had the last time he'd been there, maybe more. It was the first time he'd been back inside the building since the second night when he'd waited with Luna for Andy to return. He hadn't seen Andy since that night, though he'd gotten updates on his status from Luna and had read his entries over the journals. He's anger over Andy's smart ass comment had subsided considerably when Dean had reappeared safe and mostly sound. Still, a small stubborn streak had kept him from coming back inside until now. Andy had apologized and Sam had realized that Andy had reacted the way he had because Luna was there. Not that it made Andy's behavior any less careless, but it did relieve some of Sam's fears that Andy might turn on him or someone else the way Ava and Jake had. His guilt at being unable to stop Andy's death from occurring in his own timeline and his ability for empathizing with a guy having a shitty time of things had prompted him to come this morning with a sort of peace offering.

He stood inside the door a moment, running a hand through his hair to shake free the snowflakes and wishing he'd held onto his jacket, light as it'd been. It took a moment for his eyes to adjust to the darkness of the church and he started making his way up the aisle towards a slouched form sitting in one of the front pews. It was hard to tell from behind if Andy had fallen asleep sitting or if he was awake, but Sam refrained from calling out when he passed Luna and then Dean sleeping in the pews. In his hands he had a small box of odds and ends he'd picked up from the gas station on his way over. A peace offering, since he and Andy had pretty much decided to put their last conversation behind them. In the box there was soap, water, shaving cream, a razor and two Snickers bars.

He paused beside Andy's pew, his eyes searching to see if Andy's were open. "Hey," he said, nodding towards Andy once he determined he was awake. "Mind if I sit?"

Andy hadn't slept terribly well the previous night, either. Mainly, because he felt his space was being invaded and, of course it had to be a Winchester. The suave, rogueish, pretty boy Winchester. Not that Sam wasn't a pretty boy, because as far as Andy was concerned, he sort of was, but Andy could tell just by looking at Dean that he had far more notches on his bedpost than Sam probably did. Not that he thought a lot about it, but Andy was a judge 'em by their cover type, even if he didn't really like to admit it out loud.

He stayed awake when Dean had passed out - useless fuck, some Winchester he was - so that he could keep watch for Luna and the sun was barely up when he'd leaned his head back against the side of it, staring at the ceiling. He'd sort of zoned out by the time Sam had come in and then Andy had become the useless fuck, because he hadn't heard Sam approach at all and startled slightly at the sound of the other man's voice.

"Hey," he replied, recovering, and tipped his chin up with acknowledgement. "Have at, man," he replied.

Sam slid into the seat next to Andy, glancing upwards at where Andy was staring. He wasn't sure if Andy had actually been looking at something or was just tired. Looking at his friend now, he thought it was probably the latter.

"How's the leg?" Sam asked, keeping his voice low so that he wouldn't wake the others. He glanced down at it, not quite sure how much better it looked, since the last time he'd seen it, it'd been wrapped up in a trash bag.

"I know you haven't been able to leave that much, so I picked up a few things on the way over." He handed Andy the box, stifling a sudden yawn as it hit him. He shook his head. "Welcome to another day in paradise, right?"

"Sucks," Andy replied honestly, giving Sam a lopsided half-grin. "Stitched together with fuckin' dental floss, man, now that's creative. I gotta give Doc Lex mad props for that, ya know?" He paused. "The leg's better than it was, though, for sure. And I'm pretty sure she's gonna let me get up and around a little bit, so fingers crossed. I haven't been able to feel my ass in like two days," he joked quietly.

Andy didn't feel the need to share with Sam the God-awful trip he'd been on while Lexie had been patching him up. Somehow, it felt like a better idea to keep it to himself until he had a chance to explain it better to Luna. ...if he could get her alone and have her look at him again anytime soon, anyway.

"Oh sweet! Thanks, man," he all but whispered in his attempt to keep his excitement quiet enough to let Dean and Luna continue to sleep. "Ha, yeah, fuck this place. If not for the whole demon thing, I'd almost prefer Cold Oak...at least I didn't have a bum leg there, right?" he said with a smirk. "What brings you over, anyway? Comin' to drag off your brother? 'Cause no offense, man, but I'd fuckin' like it if you did..." he admitted, giving Sam a significant look and then nodding over at Luna to indicate that he hoped for some alone time with the small blonde. The sooner, the better, so maybe they could clear the air. Maybe. Or maybe he just didn't want Dean around when the guy didn't know him, because that was uncomfortable as all hell. He wasn't sure what he could and couldn't say to Dean; that was no good. Andy hated having to censor himself.

"Dental floss?" Sam repeated, raising his eyebrows in surprise. That was one use for the minty stuff that Sam had never thought about. "You been bench warming since then?" Sam asked, not realizing that Andy'd been off his leg the entire time. "Man, I'm sorry," he said, shooting Andy a sympathetic look. He hadn't realized exactly how bad Andy had it until now. "That's good though, it'll be good to get around a little."

Sam grinned when Andy thanked him for the box, feeling relieved that they weren't fighting any longer. It faltered a moment later when Andy mentioned Cold Oak. Sam sighed and shifted in his seat slightly as Andy went on to ask about Dean. He watched Andy's eyes move in Luna's direction, but didn't follow them. He wondered if he should tell him what had happened in Cold Oak, especially if he was using it as a reference point for this place.

"This place isn't much better than Cold Oak," he forced out a moment later, aware that Andy was expecting some kind of reaction, even if it hadn't necessarily been to the Cold Oak comment. It was a lie, too. This place was a lot better than Cold Oak. Dean was here for one, even if he was being annoying as Hell. And the people here actually cared about one another, unlike the psychic kids in Cold Oak who had been waiting for their moment to try for the spot of the yellow eyed demon's right hand man, or in Ava's case, woman. Plus, there was the fact that Andy was still alive.

He furrowed his brow and glanced over his shoulder at his brother. "Why? What's he been up to?" Sam asked, a weariness in his voice. He'd gotten the impression that Dean was turning up the flirting last night because Sam had been there to stop it, or at least keep it in check. If he'd kept at it when Sam was gone, or worse in front of Andy, then Sam would've been right in his worries about Dean misreading the situation as being a good time to hit on Luna.

"Dental floss," Andy confirmed with a smirk. The smirk, however, faded slightly when Sam asked whether Andy had been off the leg the whole time. A solemn nod was his response. "Yeah, it's awesome having to sit in the same place for days at a time, only getting up to take a leak, bro. Might not be so bad if this was a hospital and shit but these pews aren't all that comfy."

Going throught he box, Andy looked like a kid at Christmas, excited as all hell about the prospect of finally getting to shave. "Oh man, you're the shit, Sam; I'm starting to look like a motherfucking Yeti, dude. Stubble suits me, maybe...a beard in the making, not so much," he laughed.

Andy let the comment about Cold Oak go, if only because he realized a little too late that it was a pretty shitty thing to say, considering Lily had died there. Andy was a pro at lacking tact when he forgot to think before he spoke. It was happening a lot more often than he'd have liked lately, though... Add another notch, he thought.

Frowning, Andy shrugged. "Nothin' man, he's just fucking crampin' my style," he said, making a face. "If it's not bad enough she won't come near me, talk to me, or even look at me, I've got freakin' Fabio over there stealing my thunder. Screw that, he's your brother; take his ass back to your joint," he replied, trying to sound as annoyed as he felt and only managing to sound slightly irked in spite of the smirk on his face. Okay, he was proud of himself for the crack on Dean...that was kind of clever, right? Fabio. He'd store that away for a rainy day, for sure. "But seriously, though, what brings you over here, dude? I haven't seen you since..." he let his voice trail off and gave Sam an apologetic, impish smile. Since the night he'd made a shitty comment about Sam's hero complex.

"Yeah, I think they're made that way," Sam said, giving Andy a small frown. "If they were too comfy people would nod off while listening to the sermons." He remembered the occasional Sunday spent enduring a sermon from Pastor Jim while his dad was off working a job. He was pretty sure Dean had managed to sleep through most of them, uncomfortable pews or not.

Sam laughed softly when Andy said he was starting to look like a Yeti. Sam wouldn't say he was exactly there yet, but he could use a shave. "I wasn't able to find a mirror though," Sam admitted, which was the reason he hadn't shaved himself yet. He was starting to look a little rough. "So I don't know exactly you'll pull it off."

Sam snorted loudly at Andy calling Dean Fabio and quickly glanced behind his shoulder to see if he'd woken the others. He turned back to Andy grinning and shaking his head. Fabio. It got funnier every time he thought about it.

"Look, I would if I could, Andy, but he's not exactly listening to me these days. Not that he ever really did. I could tell him to come back with me, but it's not going to happen unless he wants to." Sam sighed. "He's stubborn like that."

Sam raised his eyebrows as Andy started to mention the last time they'd seen one another. "Yeah, I got caught up with some things," Sam said, sidestepping the last words Andy had said and how they'd set him off. "I should've been by sooner." He paused. "I didn't mean to embarrass you in front of Luna."

Smirking, Andy cocked his eyebrows and laughed. "Good point, man," he replied. "I hadn't really thought about that, but you're probably not wrong. Still, would it have killed 'em to put some cushions in the VIP seats? Anyone who would willingly sit this close to the preacher is at least a hundred years old," he joked.

"Psh, Sam...I lived in the back of a van. You think I had a mirror?" he laughed in response to Sam's somewhat apologetic admission. "You'd be surprised how well a window works in a pinch when the lighting's just right, man. Anyway, just get your girlfriend to do it for you, I bet she'd love it. Chicks get off on grooming us," he replied. He'd been reading through older entries in the journal and had noticed that Dean had called someone Sam's girlfriend. He wondered if maybe that was the real reason why Sam hadn't wanted Andy to stay with him; he had a thing going and Andy would be cramping his style somewhat similarly to the way Dean was cramping Andy's.

And speaking of which... "I think she likes him..." Andy muttered, frowning as he looked over at Luna. With a somewhat dismissive cock of his brows, he looked back at Sam. "I dunno, though, whatever. I just know I could do without a bigger, better lookin' dude all up in my space, is all," he admitted with a shrug, trying very hard to look like he didn't care as much as he did.

"Don't worry about it, bro, it's cool," Andy said, giving a dismissive wave of one hand and shaking his head. He said it in a general sense, figuring it would cover all the bases. Sam had shit to do and Andy didn't; Sam wasn't obligated to come for visiting hours just because they shared a freak connection and had met all of two times in their lives before this. And Sam sure as hell had no reason to apologize for making him feel like a little kid in front of Luna and Sarah, because in all honesty, it didn't fucking matter; he'd done a good enough job embarrassing himself without Sam's help both before and after the fact.

He noticed that Sam had still tiptoed gracefully around saying why he was there and Andy raised his eyebrows thoughtfully. "Look man, not that I mind that you're here or anything, but uh...if you're not coming to fetch your brother, did you just come all the way over here to give me this? 'Cause, no offense, but I don't buy it," he replied with a small smirk.

Sam grinned at being reminded of Andy's van. He wondered if Andy missed it as much as Dean was no doubt missing the Impala. His smile slid away a second later at the mention of a girlfriend. "I don't have a girlfriend," Sam said, giving Andy a look that seemed to ask where he got that from. "And even if I did, I'm not sure she'd have the same ideas about grooming that you do." He gave Andy a small smile and shook his head. "You could get Luna to help, though," he teased lightly.

"Yeah, I don't know," Sam said, seeing right through Andy's attempt to be cool about it. "I mean last night, it wasn't exactly like she was flirting back. She was just, you know, Luna."

Sam nodded as Andy waved off his apology, eager to get past feeling weird about being odds with Andy. It wasn't that he really cared if Andy was pissed at him, at least not without Andy having a good reason for it, but Sam genuinely liked Andy and besides Shannon and Luna, he was one of the few people he felt like he could talk to openly. More than that, he was the only one who understood what it was like to be a psychic kid and the kind of sacrafices that came with it, even if he didn't know the full extent of the darkness that was inside them. He suddenly wondered if Andy had been visited by the yellow eyed demon before Ava had taken him out and if he knew that the root of their powers came from demon blood. He was almost 100% sure that if he had been, Andy would've mentioned it by now.

Sam's face grew serious as he followed this line of thought, his eyes focusing on the empty pulpit in front of him as he thought it through. Andy's voice pulled him out of his thoughts and he blinked, looking up at him. Sam looked confused for a moment as his brain shifted gears.

"Oh," he said, suddenly looking a little sheepish. "It's kinda stupid. I just had this idea and..." He tucked his tongue into the side of his mouth and gave a small laugh. "I was actually wondering if you'd let me borrow some of your shaving cream for a little payback."

Andy held his hands up defensively, giving a facial shrug in response. "I just saw somewhere in the journals Dean saying that you and your girlfriend kept him up all night talking, or some shit, I dunno man," he replied with a small smile. "And are you kidding? Ask any girl. They like picking at us. They fuckin' love popping zits and if they'll do that shit, they'll shave your face, if you ask real nice," he laughed. His grin faded slightly and he gave another facial shrug. "I don't need the help, though," he reminded Sam. "Already know how to shave without a mirror."

Sam's assurance didn't help Andy's opinion change any. She was always just, you know, Luna from what Andy could tell. He shrugged again. "Whatever," he repeated and he wasn't sure anymore if it was Sam that he was trying to convince, or himself that he didn't care.

Raising his eyebrows at Sam, Andy started to smirk again. "You're the one that brought it over, feel free to take it back or use it, man, I'm not gonna complain," he replied. Logically, the payback for whatever was aimed at Dean. Sam wasn't a stupid guy, by any means, and so he didn't think even if Luna had done something to deserve a little payback, that Sam would have the balls to do it not only in front of Andy, but also in front of Dean who, even though Andy kind of hated right now, he'd clearly awaken to assist. Plus, if Sam was asking Andy for his permission to use the shaving cream Sam himself had actually brought here, then Andy logically wasn't the target either.

Not that he was going to ask, but Andy was kinda dying to know what exactly Sam felt Dean had done to merit some sort of retalitory retribution. Whatever it was, Andy had a feeling this was gonna be fucking amusing. "This I gotta see..." he murmured to himself, grinning.

Sam sighed and rolled his eyes. "Dean was just being an ass. Shannon's not my girlfriend." There was a pause. "We're just friends." Friends that knew some pretty messed up stuff about one another. Sam could feel his thoughts going back in the direction of their conversation last night before he was pulled out of it by Andy's theory about girls.

"Oh, okay," Sam said with a small laugh. "So all I have to do is ask real nice? Good to know." He grinned at Andy and shook his head, only glancing back up when Andy said he didn't need any help. His grin faded slightly. He felt like he should say something to give Andy some kind of hope, he thought he understood how much he cared about Luna, but he didn't feel like he knew Luna well enough to speak for her. "She's got some interesting theories about Astronomy," Sam said. "You should ask her about them sometime."

Sam's grin returned as Andy gave him permission to use the shaving cream. He reached into the box and pulled it out. "You might want to stay here," Sam said, as he shook the can. "Just in case Fabio wakes up right away." He smirked at Andy before moving down the pews. He knew it was childish, that probably nothing good was going to come of this, but the fact was the thought of annoying Dean when he'd been working overtime to annoy Sam was too sweet to pass up. He knew there'd be retaliation, probably instantly if Dean woke up right away, but after the last two days Sam thought it was more than worth it.

He stopped beside the pew Dean was sprawled out on, glancing up and grinning at Andy momentarily before reaching down for the hand that was hanging off the pew at an accessible angle. The shaving cream made a soft sound as Sam put a healthy dollop in Dean's palm and then retrieved a piece of paper from his pocket and carefully tickled the edge of Dean's nose with the torn page from his journal. It took three passes, but eventually the hand with shaving cream moved up to scratch the nose and Sam had to stifle a laugh as it smeared over his brother's face.

His job done, Sam moved back up the pews so that he was beside Andy. He held the can out already debating whether to act amused and surprised or just surprised. "Here you go. Thanks a lot."

Dean's back hurt like hell but he was in the middle of the best dream he'd had in a long time. There were no blue balls in this one and he was grinning even as he slept. If he'd been a sleep talker he might have even been mumbling the really bad pickup lines that were working because they always worked in dreamland. Just like in dreamland he had his choice of whatever girl he could imagine. Blondes, brunettes, and oh the fiery redheads. More boobs and long legs than any man should rightfully have command over.

In spite of dreaming though he could still feel his back cramping from being forced to sleep on a hard pew all night long. It had been his choice to sleep there, of course, but he'd done it so that there was no way in the world anyone could accuse him of trying to snuggle up to Luna in the middle of the night. Not that he should have to explain or feel self-conscious if he did. Sam was busy getting his groove on with Shannon every night. They might not be having sex but Sam certainly got to cop quite a feel, spooning.

The blonde in his dream, who continually morphed from Luna to Shannon and back again, began tickling his nose with her feather boa. It was a very nice boa, the only thing she was actually wearing at that point but the tickling was fucking annoying as hell. He wanted to grab it and toss it away. She kept doing it! "Fuckin' quit I said!" he hollered, startling himself awake. He was sitting straight up in the pew faster than he could think and his face was covered something white and fluffy. "The fuck?!" he growled loudly.

Normally, at least in this place, Luna preferred to sleep on the floor near the fire. A hard surface, yes, but it was warm, and she had little problems with sleeping in uncomfortable places. Although her bed back in her flat in her world/country/universe was so soft that it was nearly a giant pillow. That night she had slept on a pew nearest the flames because...well, she was not sure exactly.

A faded nightmare, grainy and without color, like one of those glimpses of old Muggle movies she had seen once in Muggle Studies class, was playing behind her closed eyelids. She was running through the corridors of Hogwarts, attempting to flee the Mini Death Eaters who ruled the school population in her sixth year, before they could catch her as one of those that incited the reemergence of Dumbledore's Army.

It had never happened in actuality, they had never quite realized that the dreamy girl off in her own world was helping two Gryffindors try to scrounge back together a defense against their Dark Lord. Or at least stop the more dangerous ruling students from cornering younger years and practicing the Cruciatus Curse upon them.

The sound of someone yelling a different kind of curse snapped her awake just as Draco's hand was within reach of her robe. Cautiously, she peeked over the side of her pew, after levering herself up enough to do so.

Andy grinned and held his hands up defensively. "All right, man, my bad," he replied. The pause between the denial and the offered explanation wasn't missed on Andy, but he just smirked to himself and said nothing. That's exactly how he'd have described Luna. Not his girlfriend...pause...just a friend. Sam might've thought he was being slick, but Andy saw through it because he was already there. His amused expression softened when Sam gave him a suggestion for something to talk to Luna about and he nodded, looking down. "Yeah, maybe," he said. Maybe if she would ever look at him again, he would.

"Like I have anywhere else to be, man," Andy laughed, shaking his head and rolling his eyes. He watched with mild interest as Sam headed over toward where Dean was sleeping. The way Sam glanced up and grinned back at Andy received a look of realization. Andy closed his eyes and let out a huff which was somewhere between "oohhh" and a laugh. His eyes opened again and he watched as Sam did exactly what Andy's mind had suggested he'd do: filled one of Dean's hands with Andy's shaving cream and started to tickle his nose.

"Ohhhh, what are you? Twelve?" Andy laughed as quietly and appreciatively as he could when Dean moved to scratch his nose, smeaing the shaving cream all over his face. "Awesome," he added under his breath as he took back the shaving cream can and dropped it in with the rest of the things Sam had brought with him. "Seriously? Don't mention it. Totally worth letting you borrow it," Andy said, snorting in an effort not to laugh as Dean shouted. The smirk on his face only grew when Luna woke next and tried to peer over the side of the pew to see what the commotion was about.

Sam: 1; Dean: fucking nada. Awesome.

Sam's smile fell away instantly into a carefully blank slate as Dean growled. He'd positioned himself beside Andy, with his back on Dean and he glanced over his shoulder now, raising his eyebrows in confusion.

"Dean?" He asked, fighting the urge for his lips to curve up but furrowing his brow. "What's..." He paused as if he were seeing the shaving cream for the first time. "What the hell is that?"

He cleared his throat and gave Andy a sideways glance before looking at Luna. "Morning, Luna."

Dean registered Sam's slow response to his loud awakening but it didn't quite penetrate yet. He turned to look at his brother and scowled. "Looks like fuckin' shaving cream, doesn't it?" Then his face puckered and he whipped his head from side to side in disgust. Some of the damn stuff had gotten in his mouth when he'd spoken and it tasted the way markers smelled. "Ugh, fuck!" he grumbled and stood up to take off his shirt. With the shirt off, he began wiping the mess of white foam from his face.

It was as he wiped his tongue on the rough fabric of his shirt, which didn't taste much better than the shaving cream, that it occurred to him what he'd missed. There was no way his brother, who claimed to have been hunting with Dean for 2 years during his own timeline, would non-challantly respond to his brother shouting. Especially not in this crazy bubble town. No way. He had to have something to do with it to be so calm.

Dean's eyes narrowed and he glared at Sam. "You are dead," he said. "Dead, do you hear me, Sammy!"

A quick view of the situation created an image that Luna was easily able to grasp. She might not have been in the Gryffindor House to see many of the pranks as they were being built, but she had seen the results enough to label this a 'prank.' The Winchesters, as of yet, had nothing on Gred and Forge. Not until someone turned into a canary, or a temporary swamp was made inside.

"Good Morning Sam," she answered the only one who had addressed her, in a still sleepy voice. Just in time for Dean to flail, stand up, and strip off his shirt. He was far more...fit than she was used to. Not unpleasantly so, simply a new sort of interesting. Reminded her of Quidditch players, really, who had a tendency to go bare chested while practicing in the summer. Although a smile did creep up onto her face at the rather bland prank causing such a reaction. "You have some cream of shaving in your hair," she pointed to a spot on the left side of her sleep mussed hair, just in front of her ear.

Having learned long ago that brothers threatening each other did not necessarily lead to any sort of real violence, as much as retribution and male competition.

Even if he wasn't willing to admit it out loud, Andy was probably unable to keep the smirk off his face; he was fucking amused as hell at Dean's predicament. Maybe that meant he was equally as immature for wanting to laugh as Sam was for having done it. The smirk fell away, though, only to replaced by a stony annoyance when Dean took his shirt off to wipe his face. Mainly, because he'd noticed the smile on Luna's face. He looked over at Sam as if to sarcastically depart a gee, thanks man, silently through his expression.

It was, however, a small consolation that Luna had noticed shaving cream in Dean's hair, so at least she wasn't a drooling mess of braindead ogling as Andy somehow figured most women would've been upon seeing Dean, of all people, shirtless. Whatever, Andy could totally look like that if he wanted. He didn't want to look like a steriod-induced beefcake. If Dean needed to look like that to feel good about himself then maybe he wasn't so sure of himself after all. ...at least that thought made Andy feel better. A little.

He chose to remain the silent, innocent bystander. Mostly this was because he didn't want to falsely incriminate himself just because he really, really wanted to laugh in Dean's face and give Sam a high five but also partially because he was sort of hoping if he and Luna failed to appear amused by it or affronted on Dean's behalf, maybe Sam would be able to escort his brother out of the church entirely sooner than later.

Sam's eyebrows shot up even as he clamped down on his tongue in an effort not to laugh as Dean said it looked like shaving cream. Only once Dean was distracted wiping the shaving cream off of his face, did Sam let his smile surface, though he found the look on Andy's face less than amused.

He followed Andy's gaze from Luna to Dean's stomach and had to fight the urge to his his friend playfully on the shoulder. He couldn't really be seriously jealous of Dean because of that, could he? Especially when a moment later Luna pointed out that Dean had some shaving cream in his hair.

Sam looked back at Dean, sobering instantly. "What? Dean. You can't seriously think I had anything to do with that, do you?" Sam asked, looking affronted. "Come on. That's so childish."

Dean glanced quickly to Luna, just noticing now that she was awake because she'd spoken to him. "Thanks, Sunshine," he said and made a swipe at his hair with his shirt. This was fucking ridiculous. It had to have been years since he'd been pranked. That's what this was. Had to be. Seriously though? Shaving cream on the face trick? So lame. Especially because now he was shirtless or rather dirty-shirted. And it was cold in here. He sucked in a breath and sighed it out again with an apologetic smile at Luna. "Sorry if I woke you up. Some children decided it was game time."

Rubbing the shirt over his face once more, Dean glared back toward Sam and the other guy he hadn't noticed before. "And it's on, little brother. You messed with the wrong dude today," he said darkly. He wasn't really furious, at least not as furious as he was projecting toward Sam. He was more annoyed that his brother had interrupted a seriously good dream. And the fact that he was cold now. And achey.

Stretching, he winched as his back protested the night spent on a hard pew again. He tossed down his shirt and rubbed his shoulder slowly, frowning as it did little to ease the stiffness and pain there. It wasn't even in his mind that he was giving a show of his muscles or figure. It never occurred to him that it would be of interest to anyone in the room what he looked like shirtless. Let alone feel jealous over it but he caught the expression on Andy's face and inwardly rolled his own eyes. Whatever that was about, Dean was sure he didn't want to know.

Pulling her legs and feet up so that she was able to sit cross-legged on the pew, Luna began finger combing out her long, long hair. Fingers catching on a snarl or two from her less than peaceful sleep, she sent a serene smile out to the three men in the room. "It is quite alright, the sun is up and I did not like my dreams." It was nothing less than the truth, and spoken as such, with no particular inflection to insinuate that her dreams had in fact been memory/nightmares.

As in her other own world as she could be, and often was, not even Luna missed Dean's stretching and incidental flexing. However, she did not miss a step in her finger combing, simply observing the world around herself as she did so.

She might have noticed the shaving cream, but Luna was most certainly noticing a good deal of shirtless!Dean's attributes. He was an attractive man after all, and giving everyone quite the visual display of masculine fitness. The blonde watched the play and stretch of muscles with her wide silvery blue eyes, "Did you sleep not well?" she asked aloud.

"Nightmare?" Andy asked Luna, feeling badly that he hadn't noticed if she was reacting outwardly to it. If he had, he would have woken her up. It didn't help, he supposed, that she was approximately as far away from him as physically possible without leaving the room entirely.

He resisted the urge to roll his eyes as Dean went on stretching with his shirt off, but only barely. His eyes went back to Luna and then he did roll them. Well, that was pretty much that, then, wasn't it? Andy wouldn't ever be able to put on a show like that for her, so if that was the sort of thing she liked, he was, for sure, shit out of luck.

Looking back at Sam, he struggled to his feet with the aid of the crutches. "Thanks again, man, for this stuff," he said, nodding down at the basket. With that, he hooked an arm around it and started toward the alter boys' room. "Suppose it's time to put it to good use. I'll catch you later?" he asked. He was pretty sure there was a window back there and if he was lucky, the sun would be at just an angle that he'd be able to use the window like a mirror to shave.

Sam pressed his lips into a thin line and shot Dean an offended look when he implied that he'd woken Luna up because someone was acting childish. It was childish, but so was the way Dean had been acting the night before.

He was surprised at Dean's tone though when he said Sam had messed with the wrong person. He'd expected Dean to be put out, but also to kind of laugh it off or act pissed about it with that half smirk smile that said Sam would be sorry, but he just seemed genuinely pissed off. Part of Sam felt offended Dean was really upset about it, considering the way he'd gone out of his way to tease him and flirt with Luna in front of him yesterday knowing full well Sam didn't approve.

"Dean, for the last time," Sam said, furrowing his brow. "I had nothing to do with that." If he was going to lie he figured he'd have to commit to it.

He glanced at Luna running her fingers through her hair, his brow furrowing slightly when she said she hadn't had a good sleep. He looked at Andy when he asked if it was nightmares, wondering if Luna had been having them since they'd gotten there and if they starred the Yellow Eyed demon.

Andy rolled his eyes and struggled to his feet and Sam was halfway on his own in order to help him up when Andy thanked him. "Yeah, no problem," Sam said, watching Andy as he moved towards a back room. "Later."

Dean smiled slightly at Luna, "Sleeping on a pew isn't exactly good for the back. I'm not surprised you didn't sleep well either." He caught the way she was watching him stretch and rub his shoulder. She was so hard to read. He wondered what she was thinking as she watched him. She seemed vaguely curious like she wanted to see how each muscle worked or something like that. Definitely wasn't interest that he saw which was okay with him. She was a sweet girl and he liked being around her but her seeming innocence made him think if he tried any harder than he already had (and failed) to get a reaction out of her, he would prove Sam right and hurt her.

He glanced at his brother with brows raised. "Okay so it was Andy then?" He noted the difficulty with which Andy had gotten to his feet and knew there was no way the guy could have gotten away fast enough to be all the way across the room when Dean woke up. Not with his leg injured that way. The only other explanation was that Luna had done it and he highly doubted that.

"Two thumbs up, man, for ingenuity and being faster than you look," he said, giving two literal thumbs up to Andy.

He gave Sam an "I'm not fooled" look and rolled his shoulders. Then, with distaste, he shook his shirt out so he could pull it back over his head. He yawned loudly, stretched up his arms and flopped back down onto the pew. "Okay, Sammy. What's for breakfast?"

Luna nodded to Andy in answer, preferring not to verbalize a 'yes' aloud in the old teaching that if you speak of it, it would happen. Silly thing, she had never held true to that much, to do so now was simply blamed as an after effect of unpleasantness in her subconscious.

The thought that there were worse places to have slept was mostly only echoed about in her own mind. It was not very polite to remind people upon first awakening that their aches and pains could be worse. Although that would not have been what she meant, to belittle the way they felt somehow, as much as reminding them that they had the joy to have done better than the worst.

Dean's thoughts were far off the mark, but as it was Luna neither managed to see it quite as he did, nor attempted to make herself blatantly understood. If she had been Hermione Granger Weasley, she would have huffed and launched into a lengthy lecture about how she was perfectly understandable and it was simply others who could not perceive her correctly. If she had been Ginny Weasley Potter, she would have thrown a fit to prove the assumption of her fiery red hair signalling a fiery red temper true, before pouting rather childishly. If she had been Fleur Delacour Weasley, she would have merely increased her natural draw for men and had them not even caring that they did not understand her.

But she was Luna Lovegood, being misunderstood came with the territory, so to speak.

Sam rolled his eyes and gave Dean a look when he asked if it had been Andy. He was glad that Andy's back was to Dean when he gave him the thumbs up, thinking that was probably the last thing he wanted to see after the jealous look Andy had been shooting in Luna and Dean's direction.

Sam forced himself to give Dean a blank look and shrug. "Definitely not Andy, unless he deserves an Oscar for best pain portrayal." He watched Dean put his shirt back on and stretch, his eyebrows shooting up when he asked what was for breakfast.

Sam huffed and shook his head, though there was a small smile on his lips. "You're asking me?"

"Which leaves you since Luna was asleep. Very funny, little brother. Bravo." He clapped his hands together slowly with a look of disdain on his face. He wasn't as pissy as he'd felt moments ago because he was more fully awake and less dirty now. Sam had better watch out though because payback was usually a huge raging bitch. Especially if Dean had anything to say about it.

"Yeah, man. You prank me, ruin my only shirt and a fantastic dream," he said with a quick glance over at Luna that turned into a slightly naughty grin before sweeping back to Sam. "I expect to at least get breakfast out of it. Come on, Sammy. Don't tell me you've suddenly turned into the 'get out before breakfast' type." He lifted his brows at his brother expectantly, his hands settling on his hips.
