Entry tags:!dropped, !incomplete, day 01, location: barn, piper halliwell, silent bob

Day One: Mid-Morning/Early Afternoon
Who: Piper Halliwell & Silent Bob
What: Arrival in a strange place, in the woods, with strange company.
When: 11:00 am
Where: Forest- nearest Landmark Barn
Rating: TBA
Status: Active

A breeze tickled Piper's bare arms, she shivered and tried to cuddle deeper into her bed. Only a couple of things were wrong with this. One-she didn't have her pillow tucked under her head, Two-she had no blankets and  3-she was fairly sure that her bed wasn't made of rocks. Groaning she cracked her eyes open. Sunlight peeked through tress casting shadows on the ground. Pushing her arms up under her she sat up. "LEO!" She whipped her head around again, brushing the dirt and grass of her arms. When he didn't answer, Piper forced herself to stand up. Her legs felt like jell-o. "Come on out! This isn't funny!" Pressing her hand into her forehead she turned in a circle.

"Paige? Phoebe?" She called out , stumbling slightly when she tried to move. Glancing down, Piper groaned, dried mud and dirt smeared down the front of her A-shirt and plaid pj pants. "That figures." She sighed, she should expect the unexpected by now, and yet she was always taken by surprise. Before she could open her mouth to try calling out for her sisters again, she saw some one else just a few feet from her.

He could still taste the Mooby's Skinny Calf he'd had as a munchie-crusher last night. following a brief interlude with a fantastic exotic stash there was nothing like Mooby's to make Bob feel complete.

Eyes closed, Bob was absolutely certain that his trip on the cannibis express had ended with him on the floor. Wouldn't be the first time, and it wouldn't be the last. It was some very special stuff they'd managed to score, so it didn't surprise him at all that he'd faceplanted before passing out.

However, as the bulky man laid there and thought he realized that the floor of his apartment seemed to be awfully moist. Well, it wouldn't be the first time for that either. Then, he realized that his floor smelt an awful lot like dirt. Sort of normal, albeit it was a different kind of dirt than he was accustomed to. Finally, Bob realized that not only was he laying on a cold, dirt smelling floor; but, he also felt kind of wet. Like, having been rained on wet. He didn't smell urine, so that was a good sign.

"LEO!" That noise wasn't normal, so with a eagle-eye 'I don't see you, you don't see me' approach, Bob opened one eye and found himself in totally unfamiliar surroundings with someone screaming for people he certainly didn't know.

In all honesty, she was kind of weiding him out. So, it was all he could do to just smile and wave hello. See, he wasn't here to hurt you - just a man passed out in the woods. Yeah, that's it.

"Oh! " Piper stared for a minute before jerking into action. By now she had a pretty good handle on innocnets, and this guy didn't seem like a demon. So She took a few short strides and knelt at his side tucking her hair behind her ear. He gave her a little wave and a smile, so he must be alright, still better safe then sorry.

"Are you alright?" She asked, touching his shoulder gently. The wind russled the trees again, and goose-bums stood out on her bare shoulders. She sighed, and looked around again. There just a little ways in the distance, was that a building? Piper looked down at him again.

She turned her attention back to the silent man. "My name is Piper, Piper Halliwell. Do you know how we got here?"

She was kind of hot and kneeling next to him. Sweet.

'Are you alright?' She asked, to which he nodded affirmatively. Pulling himself up to his feet and offering her a hand before brushing himself off. This place didn't look like any part of New Jersey he'd ever been to, and that was sort of disconcerting.

"Bob," he said with a bit of a grin, still not much caring for the look of this. If he was here, Jay had to be here, too, right? Because that would be just seriously fucked up for him to have to train somebody else to do all the talking all of the time and do all the crazy shit Jay did to keep him both entertained and thoroughly occupied.

'Do you know how we got here?' Came her question and it was all Bob could do to shrug. A man of few words he canted his head a bit as he caught site of a pair of boxes that he could have tripped over had he not been totally trying to figure out if this chick's PJ's were in fact her day wear.

Bending over he opened one of the boxes, and peeked at the pouch inside before lifting it up and showing it to Piper for inspection.

"Right. Okay." Piper took the offered hand and stood, brushing off the knees of her pj's. "Thanks." Putting her hands on her hips, she glanced around the clearing again, before turning to face 'Bob as he spoke.

She watched him shake his head negative at the question on how they got here, which just figured. "Well we can't just stand here all day..." Piper reached out and took the box from Bob, opening it. "Tic-tac's, water, well at least the socks are useful." Making a face she pulled them out and balanced on one foot to slide the tube-sock onto her bare feet. "Ew. I really hope no one else has been wearing these."

"Vas...Captio..." Could be the name of a demon, or a spell. She frowned and traced the words again. "Okay well-Shelter. We should find shelter." She turned in the direction of the shadowed outline she'd seen earlier. "That look like something to you? I say we walk that way."

She waited a second, and then started walking. "Man of few words." She snorted. "Leo could learn from you..." She muttered, picking her way carefully over twisted vines and rocks. She shivered again. "Couldn't htey have nabbed me and brought along some shoes?"

Opening the second package he held out another pair of socks for her; it wasn't like he needed them, his sneakers were working just fine.

'Vas... Captio...' she said this slowly and it made Bob wonder what the fuck she was talking about. Sounded like gibberish to him. Sure, he knew all kinds of silly shit but gibberish was not among his repetoire. When she started walking he grabbed her arm giving a look of 'hold on a second' which consisted of wrinkling his nose and a shrug as he pulled off his jacket. It wasn't like he was naked underneath it or something. The 90's never stopped for Bob, so the grungy layer look was definitely in play.

Shrugging he waited while she put it on and then gestured in the direction of the structure. Here's hoping there aren't any fucking psychos in there.

“Thanks” Piper gratefully took the extra socks and put them on as well. It made her feet just a little bit warmer, and helped with the roots. Holding herself tightly, she glanced around. Normally when she woke up, away from home and in a forest, there would be a group of riders on horses coming to kill her and her sisters. Sometimes a beasty, but mostly just men. She looked around again, but couldn’t hear any of the tale-tale signs. Which, honestly was just weird. She opened her mouth to ask the silent Bob next to her if he’d seen any-but he’d woken up at the same time she had. Which meant, probably not…plus he might think she was crazy.

She paused when Bob grabbed her arm and looked at her. She tilted her head at him, until he pulled off his jacket. Piper smiled at him. “Thank you.” Taking it from him she pulled it on, it was warm from him, and big on her. She pulled it closed, her hands hidden in the sleeves, she felt a little bit like a little girl with her fathers coat on. Grinning she started off again, picking her way carefully through the woods.

Finally they seemed to be coming up on a barn, or the back of a barn at least. “Well, isn’t that just homie.” Piper groused, glancing around. Most of the area around the barn was cut, not recently-there’d been enough time for the grass to grow about ankle high. “Ick. I’d better not get any ticks.” She grumbled, making her way around to the front of the barn, glancing back to make sure he was still with her. She paused just before they got there. “So…what are the chances that something horrible and nasty are waiting for us when we turn around this corner you think?”

To the thanks Bob just shrugged, an expression of 'No big deal,' washed across his face and before he knew it they were back headed in the direction of that almost ominous structure ahead.

Bob, the viewer of many horror flicks, wasn't liking much the way this all was starting to look. Aside from being dropped in the woods with a fairy hot chick, they were alone; she was in her pajamas; and he didn't have any fucking idea where they were.

It was a barn. A fucking barn. Barns were never a good place to be in any horror movie on the planet. So, Bob stopped and started shaking his head. He wasn't fucking going in there to be sliced and diced by Joe-Scho-Psycho.

Crossing his arms he stood his ground, nodding in affirmative to her suggestion of something horrible and nasty inside the structure.

Fuck this shit.

Truth be told, Piper's thoughts were some where along the same line. A creepy barn in the middle of a forest. It just seemed too much like a bad horror flick. She watched Bob stand his ground, and shake his head yes to the nasties question.

"Right. Well-" Piper sighed and looked over at the building again. Where there was a barn, maybe there was a house, or maybe a demon. Okay. Nothing she couldn't handle.

"I suppose we have two choices, we go around and peek inside the barn and get attacked by a Psycho, or we skirt around here and see if we can see a road and maybe a farm house...or well" she tilted her head "three if you count the-waiting-in-this-spot forever plan. But I'm not much in favor of that one."

Actually there was one more option. She could freeze Bob, head around to the barn and freeze first ask questions later. Problem with that was she didn't really want to use her powers and what if it was something that didn't freeze. Plus she didn't have the power of three.

Groaning Piper realized she was going to have to check out the barn. With or with out Bob. Her sisters might be tied up in there, or worse. "...As much as I hate this. I'm going to explore the creepy, *creepy* barn. I have two sisters...they could be in there." she explained, looking at the barn again and frowning.

She talked a lot. A lot. Maybe not as much as Jay, but a lot still.

Bob's opinions were quite evident to the options as she presented them.

'Attacked,' yielded a slow head shake. That meant 'no,' clearly, which he punctuated with a look of 'are you crazy?'

'Skirt around' had a look of wishy-washy 'I dunno' which involved a curl of his lip as he batted his head back and forth.

'Wait around,' actually ellicited no reaction from Bob as he pulled out a pack of cigarettes and immediately lighted one.

She was right, they had three options and Bob was actually already starting to walk in the direction that would take him around the barn as he said her sisters could be in there. Wouldn't they hear them if they were in there? If they were in there and they couldn't hear them then horror movie-etiquette indicated that sisters were probably dead.

Bob shrugged, he didn't fucking want to go in there. Crossing his arms he stopped. He didn't fucking want to go in there and he couldn't let her just go in there by herself. Sighing he shrugged, and started in the direction of the barn.

It didn't take him too long to close the gap, peeking inside he tilted his head.

Couches? What the fuck?!

Bringing her hands up slightly, she edged around to the front. She was kind of prepared for, you know hooks, maybe a guy in a mask, a demon, anything really. Except for couches. Because seriously?

She stared thought about going in, but really you could see inside, and it was packed with couches. "....That's just weird." Taking a deep breath, she called out for her sisters. "Phoebe? Paige?" When no one answered, she looked back over at Bob, then back to the barn. It'd be pretty hard for them to hide in there, or be you k now, laying dead. And if she thought about it...it didn't feel like they were dead. She would know.

Swallowing, she turned back to Bob. "Road it is then." The silence of Bob was kind of well, freaking her out. She was used to the witty chatter of her sisters, or Leo's calming voice of reason. Maybe they were here, in this place some where, but right now, she didn't think so. If this were a spell it was a very powerful one. Maybe she could write a counter spell to get out of here, returning things to where they should be. She twisted her ring, and shook her head. No she couldn't just leave the Innocent here.

Her feet were starting to hurt from all this walking with out shoes. "I wonder how far a town is. There has to be something this road leads to right?"

(Ixnay any reference to previous smoking, cuz I'm stupid.)

The whole barn smelt musty like Jay when he's in dire need of a new cap. Even still, the barn made Bob's stomach roll. There was nothing that Bob could do save kick the nearest couch. He was feeling sort of jittery and Bob didn't like it.

'Road it is,' Piper said, though, Bob wasn't quite sure he wanted to leave the not-so-creepy barn yet. It had couches. It would make a great place for him to take a nap. Or smoke. Or just hang.

Giving it up with a shrug he was back out and walking around the perimeter of the barn where lo and behold he ran into a road. Looking left and right he arbitrarily chose to turn left kicking at the rocks and the cracks in the pavement.

Internally, Bob was having a temper tantrum; even if he was duck-pond calm on the outside. He didn't know where the fuck he was. He didn't know who the fuck pajama girl was. He certainly didn't know why the fuck he wasn't in New Jersey anymore.

Not too far down the road Bob could see another structure. To which Bob stopped and silently shook his head. Fucking A. What the hell kind of Camp Crystal Lake had he fucking been dropped into?

Piper was trying to think of a spell to return them where they came from. The one she and her sisters had used when they went back to visit mom might work. She tried to think on how it went... A Time for Everything and to everything it's place
Return what has been moved Through Time and Space
Piper nodded to herself. That one might work, if she were lucky enough. Only one way to find out. She grabbed Bob's arm and muttered the spell under her breath "A time for everything and to everything it's place, return what has been moved Through time and space"

She closed her eyes but after a moment it was obvious nothing happened. She looked at Bob, who she'd suddenly stopped and smiled at him. "Ah-heh. Right" She brushed off his arm and looked away.

Maybe that meant they weren't out of time...or space. She pressed her hand to her forehead as she walked. Making up spells was always Phoebe's thing, not hers.

"Sorry" She said to Bob. Hoping she hadn't freaked him out to bad. And then when he stopped, she looked up again and could see the shape of an old...town. A creepy old town ghost town. Piper had learned, out of the many weird and strange things in her life, that they almost all had a reason behind it.

"...Oookay." Taking a deep breath she looked over at Bob. "You doin' alright?" He seemed fairly calm but Piper'd been in enough situations to know that wasn't always the case.

They moved a bit closer to the run down gas station. "Maybe there's a phone in there?"

He was standing there, taking in the rolling fog between the sudden onslaught of heavy raindrops when he felt an arm grab his own. Bob jumped. That's right, he jumped like a bitch. He'd never admit it, so don't ask.

Snapping his head to face the arm that grabbed him he realized it was pajama girl and that she was mumbling. He had thought at first that she was hot. He thought she was hot and kind of smart. Hot, kind of smart and observant. Now, he was certain she was hot, kind of smart, observant, and perhaps a bit insane.

Standing there with his eyes like saucers until she let go and smoothed his shirt Bob thought she might go all Misery on him, break his legs and drag him back into the barn. 'Sorry,' she said, and Bob wasn't quite sure what to make of it so he just kind of blinked.

Eventually she moved on back to the routine of somewhat normalcy and turned her attention from his arm to the buildings.

'You doing alright,' she asked and Bob just kind of shrugged. Sure, he wasn't OK per-se; but, he wasn't about to start going on about it to pajama girl, so he just kind of nodded.

'Maybe there's a phone in there,' she said and Bob visibly straightened. If there was a phone he could call... He could call the Moobies and they'd get Jay and Jay could find a fucking cab... Wait, he didn't know where the fuck he was.

Shit fuck motherfuck.

Receiving the 'ehhh I'm okay ish' shrug from Bob, at least she thought that's what that shrug meant. Maybe it was a 'no I'm freaking out' or 'Yeah this happens to me every Friday' shrug. But Piper preferred to think of it as the first.

Twisting her ring again she squared her shoulders "First a creepy barn, and now a creepy gas station. This day just gets better and better" She snarked, huddling deeper into Bob's jacket. At least she was getting warmer.

Even with her power to freeze she just couldn't bring herself to feel like "one of the most powerful witches of her time" in her jammies. And these had been her favorite two. Ah well.

"Don't worry, if we're any where that can be found-my sisters will find me." Piper assured Bob, or herself. It didn't really matter who she was assuring. Because she was pretty sure that was true. She hoped.

Finally they reached the gas station. She asked, turning to look at her silent Innocent next to her.

"Ew." Wrinkling her nose up, she pushed open the door. The inside was a mess, all dusty and unused. Her hopes sank, she shouldn't have been surprised after the barn of couches but she was.

She had just about taken the words right out of his mouth. The day just kept getting fucking better and better. Each time he started thinking things weren't that bad it seemed like they just got plain old worse. Sure, he was alone in the woods. Then he turned out to be there with a hot chick. Then he was there with a hot chick who randomly turned crazy. Then he had thoughts of a phone, but no fucking clue where he was.

Following her lead, Bob peeked inside. The place was dingy. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be anything from this fucking century in this place. And there was no lights. No hum of electricity. No fucking power means no fucking phone. Bob's heart sank.

"Fuck," Bob muttered, not bothering to go inside, but taking up a spot on a metal bench that was so rusty it screamed tetanus.

Fuck.

"Yeah. I agree." Piper said, to Bob's muttered curse word. She glanced around again, and stepped inside. "Hello? Anyone home?" She called out, trying not to touch anything.

She paused though, because there on the counter, was a smear of a hand print. She swallowed, heart thumping. "Bob..." she pointed at the hand print and then looked back up at him. She glanced around, there were other little things that said some one had been there. And recently.

Moving around the place, slowly her hands up, she was totally caught off guard when she turned the corner into the 'office' and a raccoon stared at her. Yelping, she flung up her hands and was relieved when the raccoon didn't explode but froze. She shuddered. "Oh-okay see. Not right. That just isn't right." She grumbled turning around.

"Well, who ever was here they aren't now." Pulling out her water, she lifted herself up onto the counter, setting her box down next to her, she opened her water and took a long drink. "This doesnt' make any since." flipping through the journal, she frowned. "Oh and how useless, they've given me a book with something written in it already."

Bob listened while she bumbled around the room at first then he heard, 'Bob,' which made him spring into action and head in through the glass door to take a look at what had got her so hot and bothered. A hand print, muddy and distinct sat on the counter. There were muddy footprints on the floor, too. She was right, someone had been here.

As he stood staring at the handprint he heard her continue lurking about. Then there was a yelp that made Bob jump up and away from the hand-orinted counter of doom. Just in time to see her shudder.

He watched as she flipped through the journal, used obviously. This place was awfully silly. Almost pointless. What the fuck was this all about.

Oooo, look, candybars.

For a moment Bob was distracted, then it was back to the matter at hand. Walking up next to her he looked at the journal she was holding, peeking at the pages. Yeah, that thing was fucked up.

It was all Bob could do to sigh and wish he had a fucking cigarette.

"This place is insane." She grumbled and pushed herself off of the counter. She made an effort to dust at the mud and grime on her pants, but couldn't do much about it.

"I need to find some shoes. And clothing. Real...clothing." She sighed, and looked at him. "Well, where there's a gas station, there must be a town...or something right? As long as that something isn't from the Texas Chain Saw Massacre I'm good. We can't just stay here."

Tossing the journal back in her box, she stuck the lid on and went to the door, standing just outside of it. She could see another large building across the street that looked like it belonged near a school, there were more buildings with in sight. With a sigh, she turned right.

"It's a good as any guess. Unless you have a bright idea on which direction to go?" Piper paused, before she started down the road.

Bob nodded emphatically when Piper dubbed the place as insane. It was fucking insane. It had no power. What kind of place didn't have any fucking power? Weren't they living in the developed world? What the fuck is this shit?

To her notion of needing real clothing Bob could only shrug. She was cute in her PJ's - though, he could do with his jacket. This place was cold as fuck.

Reaching into the cooler to take up a warm as beer he popped the top before heading out the door behind her. No reason to let the brews go to waste. Reaching into his pocket he felt the need for a cig.

WHAT THE FUCK?

The temper tantrum went thermonuclear as he trudged down the rainy-ass street behind her. He'd lost both his lighter and his fucking cigs. Fuck.

Did he have a better idea as to where to go? Of course not. They weren't in fucking Jersey which meant his internal compass was useless and even if they were near an interstate the exit numbers would mean nothing to him.

Piper blinked as Bob's face twisted into unhappiness. She frowned, but wasn't quite sure what to do. "What's the matter?" she asked, crossing her arms.

He'd grabbed a beer, which honestly Piper would have done the same if it weren't for the fact she was fairly positive they were going to get out of here. As soon as her sisters found her. Leo, can't you hear me? Where are you? Sighing, she headed on.

They passed a small almost toy looking building. 'Post office' written above the red door. "See. This is just not good. This entire place is like one big heebeee-geebee giver."

They were coming up on another building, this time with a little porch and a sign that read 'thrift store' as they got closer. Just next to that was a large, building. It appeared to be an old movie theater.

Ignoring that building, piper headed into the Thrift store slowly, hands at the ready. But nothing greeted her. She slipped off Bob's jacket, and handed it back to him with a smile.

"Thanks for letting me use it."

Bob couldn't help but nod emphatically to Piper's assertion of the place as a renderer of heebeegeebees. It's not that Bob had a problem with quiet (obviously) or dirt it was more a matter of the lack of people where there should be people. The idea that something should be in this place.

Following behind, it was a matter of habit, really; Bob watched as they happened upon the thrift shop and his coat was handed back to him. He shrugged and nodded, pulling on his nice, warm, snuggly coat. His coat that smelled like a girl. That was a... second.

He peeked his head inside the door for a minute and looked around. It was a musty-ass thrift store. There was no way he was getting the fuck in there. Putting on fucking used clothes. Fuck that.

Heading back out to the road Bob looked around sort of perplexedly. He didn't know where he should go or what he should do. He felt, strangely, sort of super glued to the pavement; paralyzed with unease. There were lots of things Bob did alone. He slept alone (generally); shit alone; bathed alone. But, wandering around alone? What the fuck was up with that?

Taking up a spot alongside the front door of the Post Office Bob tried it out. He kicked up his left heel and then his right. Fucking siding. The Quick Stop had stucco. This just didn't feel right.

Oh yeah, and he was fucking alone without a cig.

Piper glanced around, wrinkling her nose up. Wearing other people's clothing-who weren't her sisters-was just...weird. Sighing though she turned and watched Bob walk over to the post office and lean against it. She frowned slightly looking at him. He looked like one of those book stoppers, only the kind that was missing the other end. She lifted her hand to him, and slipped inside the store.

It was musty, and dusty and smelled of mildew. So, not really that suprisingly different from most other thrift shops. Stripping off one layer of socks, "Ewww" she tossed them next to the door. Tracking wet socks was different then tracking muddy socks. Glancing up, she looked at the dirty window, relieved to see Bob still standing against the post office. She turned her attention back to the racks of clothing thumbing her way through it. Finally she picked a pair of jeans that were almost the right size, just a little too long, and a blue t-shirt with a rainbow and clouds on it. Not what she'd pick if she had a choice but she didn't. She also grabbed a plain grey sweatshirt and pulled it on. Next step was shoes.

The entire place a had creepy feel, as if no one had stepped foot in it for years. Finally though, she found a pair of yellow tenishoes. Stealing a string out of the another shoe, she tied her hair back as best she could.

Walking back to the door, she looked out to check if Bob was still there or if she was on her own.
