"Right now, nothing," he said, setting down his makeshift tools (a pin and a flat ended spike he'd found at the carnival) in favor of pushing up his glasses and rubbing at his eyes.

"Well, once I find something suitable to function as a speaker I plan to hook it up to some of the batteries I collected out of the bumper cars, and tune it with this," he said, tilting the little gadget that could toward Sam.

"We'll only have one shot, maybe two. This puppy will modulate the frequency of the tones output by the speaker and with a bit of care we may just be able to shatter the glass." He had a stern look of concentration as he tried to piece together the rest of his plan.

The Doctor tried to make his face look upbeat with a grin; however, said expression was only wilted by the sheer amount of exhaustion that was plaguing him.

"How've you been keeping yourself entertained?"
