Sarah Jane stood on the porch of "her" house, looking up the road and wondering if she was doing the right thing by inquiring about what had happened before. She hated not knowing, but she wondered what had Dr. Reid so spooked. And not just him. Rose had said a bit, but even she hadn't gone into great detail, and neither had Jack, leading her to worry that whatever had happened was very bad indeed. But, could it really be worse than that business with the Daleks, or all of the other things that had happened before or since? She'd seen and experienced some horrific things over the course of her life, and none of them were ones she would rather forget. Dealing with those sorts of things made a person stronger.
She spotted the younger man as soon as he turned the corner onto the cul-de-sac, and recognized the face. Despite the odd chill she had rush through her at seeing him, she offered Dr. Reid a smile and a wave. "Good afternoon, Dr. Reid," she called back.
