Re: 10 am
Luke took notice of everything he could. Instantly memorizing each detail, a gift or curse depending upon birth; hoping that maybe there was something, any details, any specifics that he could correlate back to what it was that was truly going on...At least there would be people. And people meant answers to some extent. He worried a bit for the others that they'd left behind, but at the same time felt this was where he and mum had to be right now. There was "trap" written all over this, but all the same Luke as always was ready to do whatever it took to figure out the truth and there was no one better at that than mum. The instant they'd entered the tent area it was noise and lights and too familiar to the last carnival he'd seen. On any given day in another place you would think it was a more colorful and entertaining barrage of noise and cheery sound; but to Luke there was something distinctly off, distinctly wrong in a way he couldn't yet place...
As they headed out his blue eyes turned too at the voice, and cautiously he moved alongside his mum to enter the tent, wary and alert for anything unwelcomed that might be there to surprise the both of them. Fortunately it was just a man and Luke relaxed a little; feeling a little less unnerved and offering the man a hesitant smile.
"Yea, it...sort of looks like it. Uh, I'm Luke." He looked to his mum, allowing her to take up the introductions.
