The words themselves made sense, mostly, when taken individually, but Ray was having trouble parsing the other man's broken speech into anything remotely helpful. "Who's 'they'?" he asked, a bit sharper than he'd intended. Damn, he needed information, not this stranger's babbling. He stalked off a bit, close enough to still hear the man's answer, but just getting a little distance. Enough that if the man was crazy enough to turn violent he could fight.
That was when he realized something was wrong. His jacket felt wrong. Unbalanced. He reached a hand into the inside pocket. Sure enough, his gun was gone. Well. That was certainly not good news. Then again, if they had indeed been kidnapped, the kidnappers wouldn't have wanted to leave him armed. Smart of them. It wouldn't help them when he found out who they were, but it was still smart.
"You seem to know where we are" he said, moving cautiously back towards the other man, keeping his voice calm and movements slow. "I need to know what you know of this place to help get us out of here."
