Reid didn't take his hand. Instead, he offered a somewhat shy wave, hand near his shoulder, fingers wiggling a bit back and forth. Physical contact had never been something he had enjoyed, especially when it came to strangers and shaking hands. Once Ray's attention moved off of him, he glanced back at the door, hands bracing the frame as if to test its strength before he glanced sideways, searching for another exit.
When Ray asked what something was, Reid turned and frowned, squinting at what was in his hands. His brow furrowed in concern and he walked quickly on long thin legs over to where the other man was standing with the box to peer inside and offer some answer for him.
However, the logo on the box made his blood run cold. His eyes widened and his mouth dropped open and, without thinking, he reached out and snatched the box from Ray's hands, carelessly and clumsily dumping most of its contents onto the floor in the process. He held it by the lid, staring at the words in completely horror, before dropping it. It hit the floor with a loud clattering sound and he backed up, shaking his head as his arms shook by his sides.
"N-no... it... no, that's... it can't be, that's not, it was just... no...!"
