Sorry, Phoebe, but Jack was far from happy to be here. However, the fake grins and the bouncing around like the captain he was would be what helped keep him sane. Unfortunately, it meant everyone else would have to endure Jack when he got like this. Uh... oops?
He watched Phoebe with an interested smile as she cautiously put her hand out to touch the glass dome. "Don't worry, it won't bite," Jack replied with a chuckle. "Though, not sure if I can say the same thing for everything and everyone around these here parts." He was amused at her analogy of the bugs in a jar and raised his head up, shielding his eyes against the sun. He could imagine the Management watching the group of them wander around this compound. He wouldn't put it past them.
"The next you're in some strange-ass place that you can't get out of with a ton of different people. That's the Management for you," Jack replied, leaning against the glass dome. "Yes, I've been here before, no, I don't remember much beyond all the basics. Wish I did. I'd know what we were in for around here. I hate not knowing." He grunted and smacked his fist against the glass.
