Phoebe ([info]powerofpheebs) wrote in [info]vas_captio_rpg,
Phoebe just watched him for a bit. After all, there was no interrupting the Doctor, not when he was on a tangent, and it was something Phoebe was quickly going to learn. So he explained all about some kids' game Grams had barely ever let them play because it took forever to put together and take apart and she nodded somewhat blankly, trying to get some sort of reading off of the man. Nothing was coming. Ordinarily, that would piss her off, but the quest she'd just come from had shown her that she needed to simply let it come to her. Give it time. And tune out the rambling accent in her head.

"What the hell are you talking about?" she finally blurted, when it sounded like perhaps he was done. Maybe. She could only hope, or he'd probably start in on her interrupting him. "We're not on Earth. We're trapped. What the hell is a tards?" Think, think, think. Come on, brain. Get it together. Hers couldn't run half as fast as his, but she wasn't stupid, dammit. "And wait, how do you know we're trapped?" Stubbornly, she walked to the front door of the diner and pushed the door open, some ancient, half rusted bell ding-a-linging over her head. "See? Not trapped at all."
