Luke's hand reached out to bump something solid against it. It was a state of confusion that he awoke lying on his face, spread out on something he could distinctly feel to be a floor. His first thought, groggy and shaded with a slight confusion, was he had fallen from his bed. He supposed on some more basic logical level it made sense, but then Luke had never been one to move in his sleep, never one to dream either. He could guess like many things in over these passing years this was another that was new to him, something he would add to the experiences of his life over all this time.
But then as the boy struggled to sit up his mind caught up with him at the very solid surroundings around him and also the very real fact this wasn't his bedroom. In fact it wasn't any place he really properly recognized at all. His mind already quick fire sped into action and Luke, still in the years of growing but still with a rather thin physic, pushed himself gingerly to his feet. Testing the ground beneath him and his eyes taking in everything around in confusion to try and decipher what it was that was going on. The last he could remember, and Luke, a boy genetically grown for his brain and eidetic memory not one to forget even a single moment, recalled vividly the last few seconds he'd been awake. Clyde and mum and leaving behind his real mother insane with power. Leaving Luke to stand now confused as solutions from transport to drug induced kidnap came racing across his mind.
His eyes cast down for just a moment to find the thing his hand had brushed earlier. Carefully he crouched back down, unlatching what appeared to be a small kit of some kind. "Survival Kit," he read this and tucked it against his mind instantly; opening what he had suspected to be of something useful only to find various items and something like an empty cigarette box inside. He looked on, brow furrowed even more with confusion and snapped the box shut again; taking in every item in his head and grasping the small kit with him as he returned to his feet once again.
He appeared to be in something of a flower shop; something familiar but completely unfamiliar to him all at once. Dead long since withering flowers and an old broken glass window stood at the front. He could recognize a lot of the base to be similar to Rani's mum's shop he'd visited only just recently for a place they could all hide out and avoid being discovered, but it was different. It smelled faintly of old must and a sort of odd lilac scent; leaving him to work out how long it had even been in use.
"Hello?" Luke tried the open air for these answers, for someone to welcome or explain or maybe even, a small hope, that his mum might be around the corner. Mum always with the plans and Luke, not doubting for a second she would end up figuring this out as he too would do his best toward as always; taking a few timid steps foreword in the strange building. If there was anything Luke should have been used to by now it was the unexpected, the dangers and the equations that only seemed to properly make sense to him.
