When: 8:14am; Day one
Where: 503 Oakgrove Court

The past few weeks had been utter hell for Brigitte Fitzgerald. First, she had to deal with another werewolf hunting her, then got locked up in a rehab clinic only to escape to a cabin in the woods with a psycho kid, a pervert, a drug counselor and a werewolf to deal with. The last three were dead now (as far as Brigitte knew) but the psycho kid a.k.a Ghost had survived and locked Brigitte in the cellar. The teenager couldn’t blame Ghost for locking her up as Brigitte was quickly transforming into a monster but she would have preferred a bullet in the head.

Instead, Brigitte completed her transformation into a werewolf and spent the last two weeks in an animalistic haze before eventually regaining a sense of her human self. Over a couple of days, she slowly and painfully managed to turn back into her human form. When Ghost left the cabin to get food, Brigitte took the opportunity to escape the cellar. She rummaged through the house and managed to find a pair of jeans and a green t-shirt in Barbara’s bedroom. Since Ghost’s grandmother was currently burnt to a crisp and in the hospital, Brigitte figured the old lady wouldn’t mind. Brigitte hauled on the clothes when she shivered, feeling weak. I must be dehydrated or hungry, the girl thought and tried to head to the kitchen when everything turned black.

She awoke lying on a carpeted floor, her mouth dry and the smell of something burning filling her nose. Groaning, Brigitte sat up and blearily looked around the room. Her head was pounding and everything seemed too bright. It took a few minutes before she realized that this wasn’t Ghost’s cabin. Her body went rigid and her stomach churned with fear. Where was she? How had she gotten here? Desperately, her eyes darted around the room looking for clues when she spied a package nearby.

Snatching the kit, Brigitte studied it and read the words Vas Captio. What the fuck does that mean? she thought as opened it. Inside it was an odd assortment but Brigitte only had eyes for water. Anything to get the dryness out of her mouth. She opened it and took a long sip before looking at what else was there. A journal with a pen, empty packet of matches, socks, gum and what looked like a map.

“What the hell is going on here?” she muttered as she put the contents back in the kit. Climbing to her feet, Brigitte headed for the bedroom door. Her feet were bare and her footsteps were muffled by the carpet. “Hello?” She called out as opened the door. “Is anyone here?”

Rose had already been through hell. And then been through hell again. When she'd woken up, she'd thought she'd been having a strange dream, but couldn't put her finger on it. Something about two Doctors. But dreaming about him wasn't strange, not when he'd left her behind and all she wanted to do was go help him. And then she'd figured out how and gotten the TARDIS back to him and he'd made his change and she'd moved on. Everything had been just fine, until the damned cybermen and those stupid Daleks and god, she really hated them all.

A heartbroken Rose had been sobbing her heart out in her not-real-Dad's stupid dimension. It wasn't his fault. Or her mum's. Or Mickey's, either, though he probably had wanted this all along. But she couldn't help snapping at people. They wanted her to leave, they were trying to get her to go, and part of her was still determined that wall was going to open right back up. She stayed with her head leaned against it, sure she could hear straight through to the other side, to the world she'd grown up in, even though there was nothing but silence on that end.

But when she opened her eyes again, she wasn't there. Not where she had been. She was in a house. Now that just wasn't right. How the hell... She looked around to see if she'd been zapped into another dimension again but didn't see her non-Dad anywhere. The room was old and dusty and smelled musty and kind of gross, really. And it reminded her of somewhere. It was all coming back. Slowly, but definitely coming back.

She heard a voice then and Rose sniffled back the sobs she'd been heaving only moments before. Wherever she was, someone else was there, too. And she had to help. "Hello?" she called back, wandering into the hallway. "Over here! Call out again, I'll try and follow your voice." Well, at least it got her mind off of things.

Brigitte heard a voice reply and thought it sounded like a woman. She didn't know whether to be relieved that she had found someone or scared. For a moment Brigitte wondered if she would be better off bolting out of here but decided against it. She would never get any answers if she ran away from every person in this town. "Okay!" Brigitte yelled out as she left the bedroom and into the hallway where she spotted the other person.

"Guess this place isn't that big after all", she muttered as she stared at the blond. The stranger didn't look like a threat but Brigitte knew looks were deceiving. All she needed to do was look in a mirror for proof of that. "Did you just wake up here too?" The teenager looked around the hallway and toward the living room. "Or is this your house? And if it is, could you tell me how I got here? I'm not usually one for breaking and entering and then falling asleep".

Rose gave a soft laugh, which probably looked a bit odd considering her red eyes, puffy face, and tears still streaking her cheeks. But she couldn't help feeling relieved that she had found someone else. Even if it meant that her fears about where she woke up were founded. "Ah, no," she admitted, giving a small smile. "I did just wake up here. And from the looks of the place, I'm not sure anyone owns it."

She had to get a hold of herself. Apparently, she was going to be thrown into a fight for survival, despite just having her heart broken. Oh, well, what else was new? "I'm Rose, hi. I'm not positive where we are, but I think I know and...I'd rather not." Well, if that wasn't cryptic! But Rose so desperately wanted to be wrong that she couldn't quite make herself say it. This was so familiar. So...wrong.

Brigitte nodded absently as she looked around the house. It was pretty empty and covered with dust. As Rose introduced herself, Brigitte turned back toward the young woman, her eyes moving over Rose's face. From the looks of it the other woman had been crying but that wasn't surprising, given the situation. If Brigitte was the type prone to tears, she'd probably cry too. It was unnerving. "Brigitte", the brunette said as way of introduction. "I'd say it's nice to meet you but given the circumstances..." Brigitte shrugged, "I don't think it would be completely true".

Rose seemed to know this place, even if she was being enigmatic about it. "Where do you think we are then?" Brigitte inquired curiously. "Have you been here before?"

If only Brigitte knew. Rose wasn't typically known for crying, but in the last several months, she'd become quite good at it. And if she was where she thought she was, she seemed to do it a great deal here, too. But it had been months, that just wasn't possible. It had been a dream, one she'd nearly forgotten when she'd woken up and gone on her desperate hunt to open the TARDIS.

"You'll get that feeling a lot here," she confided, making her way to the first window she could see. It was grimy and old but she could see out enough to know that the streets didn't look all that familiar to her. Maybe she'd been mistaken. Maybe they weren't there, but she really had somehow ended up in another dimension. Yeah, that was it. "Sorry, this may sound mad, do you know a Pete Tyler?" If she did, she was probably part of his Torchwood. It would explain everything.

If she didn't? The journal. If there was a journal, she was there. She was back in the glass prison, the one with impenetrable walls that even sonic devices couldn't break through.
