The Management was pleased. There was no way the work could have been completed with everyone wandering about, so this had been the best way to accomplish their goals. The banner was in place, affixed to every building in Vas Captio: Welcome Back! it loudly proclaimed, complete with a smiley face on either side of the salutation.

There was quite a surprise in store for the residents in Vas Captio. Now, in place of the dirt roads were freshly paved streets connecting every building in Vas Captio. Save, of course, that house far out on the perimeter. There was no sense in highlighting that place. But where the majority of the residents made their homes, there were now freshly paved roads for their convenience. Of course, the addition of the street lamps would have been much appreciated in the previous days without sunlight. Today, of course, there would be no dusk but constant sunlight.

Turning the collar up against the wind, the Management nodded once, checked their watch, then disappeared into the sunlight.

The residents would be returning soon. And lord, they all were in for a treat.
