Rating: PG

The past day or five had finally caught up with the Auror. She was exhausted and sleeping much more heavily than she normally did. It was dangerous to do so, considering where she was, but it was also dangerous not to. She knew that the crashing day would come soon. It always did. But this particular crash was a force to be reckoned with. Tonks was sleeping so deep that she didn't realise she was sitting up, head propped up by open palm on a table surface. She wouldn't even remember whether she had fallen asleep at a table surface. What she did remember though was that she was in the gym, with the others -- Connor, Remus, Rose. That much stayed with her, even while she continued to sleep.

Something was trying to rouse her awake. Someone, rather. "Are we dying?" Grumbled, nuzzling her cheek against the pillow that her hand was making. If no one was dying, she wanted to sleep a little longer, please. An elbow to her side was her answer. She moved so suddenly that her head slipped from her hand and said hand ran into the large potions book on her desk, dropping it to the floor. In a normal classroom, it would have been loud. In the dungeon that served as the Potions classroom, it was deafening.

"If we were counting on you to brew this potion, Nymphadora Tonks, then yes we would die." A nasally dry voice, full of disdain and boredom, loomed right over Tonks. The potions professor never used only her last name, as he did every other student. It was always the full thing. He knew how much it irritated the witch. "Ten points from Hufflepuff." Tonks squinted her eyes at the man, still sleep addled. "Snape? When the blazes you get here?" She would have definitely seen his snarky ass in the journals previously. There was another sharp elbow in skinny side. "Ow!" Yelped as she looked over to see who the hell was elbowing her. It was a boy of thirteen, maybe fourteen, ears as red as his hair. "Charlie?" She asked incredulously. What the hell was going on? Snape, who had been moving back to the front of the class, whirled back to face the witch. "Another ten points from Hufflepuff, Nymphadora Tonks, shall we try for more?"

Tonks, however, totally got the humor in this. And started laughing. She was dreaming. The management was somehow influencing her dreams and caused her to have the common back-at-school dream. "Imma look down, an' I'll be naked too." Muttered to herself as she glanced down. But no. She was covered in the uniform of the wizarding school, black and yellow tie askew. Snape was staring down the witch, but gave a death glare over when little titters started up in his classroom. "Detention and another ten points. And if you disrupt my class again, I will send you to the Headmaster faster than a single hair on your head can turn a ridiculous colour." Class finished without incident from the extremely confused Tonks. Charlie had been hauling ass, trying to gather his things in order to get out of there.

"Dora, mate. What is wrong with you?" He hissed, tugging her arm to drag her ass out. But Tonks shook him off. She had been thinking. It was her third year, that much she could tell by the materials being taught. Which meant that there was time. Time to warn Snape to look for the signs. Time maybe to save them all before it got to be too late. "I'll catch up with you later." She replied to her friend in a distracted manner, moving toward the teacher's desk. Charlie left the room, muttering something about it being her funeral.

"Snape, I dunno what's going on but we've got to talk." Said as she got up to the desk, fingers nervously pushing through tomato red hair. It was dying of embarassment for her.

"Your single-handed attempts to have every house point retracted are far more ambitious than your pitiful excuses for potions. Another five points for not respecting your professors." He emphasized the word professor. She finally realised that was what she had forgotten. And was rolling her eyes because of it. Snape was continuing, "And I believe you and your redheaded sidekick do enough talking for the rest of the Wizarding world." Was it Charlie's day for sidekicking? Tonks couldn't help but be amused at that little thing since it switched depending on whomever of the pair that he was talking to. But she was shaking her head emphatically.

"It's about Voldemort." She whispered hurriedly after taking a look around to make sure no one was hanging around. Tonks had been part of the luckier generations, she knew. Voldemort had been defeated the first time around when she was eight, old enough to remember the scary times but young enough to bounce back from it. Five years later, and there was nothing but blue skies. She knew that was why she got the blank glare from the potions professor. But Tonks didn't care. She'd make him believe. And proceeded to spend the next hour recounting things that only people in the Order would know. Only adults would know, not happy-go-lucky thirteen-year-olds with a penchant for mischief. There was a point that Tonks truly believed that Snape might at least look into it. She was elated.

There was another sharp elbow in skinny side. "Ow!" Yelped as she looked over to see who the hell was elbowing her. It was Charlie again. They were in their seats and class was still going on. It was like the past two hours never happened. Snape, who had been moving back to the front of the class, whirled back to face the witch. "Another ten points from Hufflepuff, Nymphadora Tonks, shall we try for more?"

Fuck.
