Day Twenty-Four, early evening
Who: Andy Gallagher and OTA
What: Trying to pass the time when there's too many damn bugs outside
Where: The Gym
When: Day 24, 4:30pm
Rating: PG
Status: Active

Elliot had been MIA and Andy was trying to force himself to come to the conclusion that he had driven her away rather than resign himself to the fact that yet another person under what he'd considered his charge had died on his watch. The van remained abandoned outside the gym because it felt like the church, now - empty without his roommate. With Elliot out of sight and far from out of mind, the van didn't feel right anymore. It felt weird to admit that to himself when it was his home in the real world, but there it was.

Sitting on the floor, Andy had taken to throwing one of the mostly-inflated volleyballs from the coach's office against the bleachers over and over. The sound as well as the actual activity was painfully monotonous, but he couldn't go out to the van to get a book, because the bugs were swarming in clouds and it was, quite honestly, more work than it was worth, he thought. Besides, he wasn't entirely in the mood to read Vonnegut; didn't have his head enough to wrap it around philosophy. So there he sat, probably bothering everyone around him with the dull thwap...thwap...thwap of the ball hitting the bleachers.

For a while, it hadn't been so bad in this place, even though he was scared shitless every other day, but it had been dark for days and without Elliot or Lexie around, never mind the loss of Luna...again...every day felt like more of a battle for Andy. It was beyond tempting for Andy to try his luck with moving objects with his mind. Sam had said they all had the capability of gaining everything and being powerful...telekenesis was a pyschic thing; he should be able to do it.

The ball dropped to the ground when Andy failed, purposefully, to catch it and he stared at it, willing it to move. "C'mon, you fucker, I know it's in here," he muttered to himself, tapping his temple irritatedly with one finger. Well, what the hell else was he supposed to do?
