Who: Connor Temple and Lexie Grey
What: Hiding from bugs, exploring supplies, being geeks...
When: Day 23, mid-afternoon
Where: The Pharmacy
Status: Active
Rating: PGish, I'd imagine

Well the morning had certainly been eventful, but what was left of the day still had to be spent doing something. Connor was not a 'sit still and wait' sort of man. His child self had proven that by driving most every childminder available completely mental with his running and jumping. Even the younger version of Chris had scolded him for leaping blindly out of trees. Broken necks were less fun without hospitals to tend to you.

Besides which, there were insects. Not just one or two, or a few, but swarms. It was like someone had sent down the plague. Connor fully expected every male child to be murdered at this rate. Or however that story went. Really, Ben Hur had been much more entertaining than the others anyway. Regardless, even for someone with a fair deal of experience with insects and uh...wildlife, it was getting really old, really fast.

Which is why he ducked into the first building he could find. The chemists, it seemed, from the smattering of products still lying around. It was obviously old and abandoned, but it was better than hanging around outside waiting to see if those things bit. And really, who knew what he might find in there? He'd heard some interesting stories about supplies coming from there, being stocked in it. Couldn't hurt to take a look around, right?

Of course, being on his own wasn't typically recommended. On his own, his overactive imagination acted up. Not that whole scared-of-your-own-shadow version. Rather, the part of him that pretended to be a super secret spy, glancing around corners, ducking through aisles, and humming the Mission Impossible theme to himself the whole time. Really? Not his classiest moment.

At first, Lexie Grey had been stuck in the back, up to her elbows in disorganized shelves in the pharmacists area, trying to find vicodin that House hadn't already raided. At the moment, she was having minimal success. Out of frustration she started tossing the large bottles to the floor knowing full well she'd have to pick them right back up again when she was done. Damn you, sense of responsibility.

However, what she hadn't expected was the jingle of the bell on the front door as someone else came into the Pharmacy. Lexie, of course, froze mid toss, trying to look out of the corner of her eye to see who had come in. From the higher vantage point she could see a large portion of the store and she spied a figure she sort of recognized bobbing and weaving between aisles. More of a squint and she was absolutely she that it was Connor - the man who'd tried to keep his friend Chris from offing himself.

"Come to foil my plans have you, Mister Bond?" She called, stepping around the counter and peering toward the aisle she thought Connor was most likely to peek his head around next.

Well, that hadn't been something he'd been expecting. Lexie was absolutely right in her choice of aisles, and as Connor ducked into it and found himself very much busted, he gave a little yelp, jumped backwards, and knocked himself into the shelf behind him, sending its contents spilling.

And, as if his day could get much worse, it just happened to be the 'ladies' supplies. Sanitary napkins everywhere. Well, that answered the question he'd always asked his mum, didn't it? Apparently, women of the seventies didn't just get sent to the edge of town for three to five days. And if Connor blushed any harder, he'd be bright purple.

"Uh...hi," he offered awkwardly, glancing between the pretty young doctor and the scattered packages behind him. "Foil...plans...right, yeah, come to stop you in your evil schemes and uh... This couldn't get any more awkward right now, could it?" Actually, it probably could. Better not to test that theory.
