Whoever was doing this was a total magical dickweed. Ted assumed that they were magical at least because only wizards and stuff had power over the dead. Right? Unless someone read from a book that they weren't supposed to. He paused, thinking about that. He didn't read from a forbidden book did he?? The decision was made that no, he did not, and the teenager's whole body was sort of flung into the emphatic nod that he was giving himself. Good job, Ted. Besides, his most excellent partner Dan would have probably given advice not to read the book.

He had made a torch out of some cloth found and a stick, lighting it with matches from the survival kit that they were given. His was safely tucked away at the gym, where the bodacious Elliot took him after saving him from the zombie. Ted stayed in for a while, helping where he could, but it was complete bummer-fest in the gym. Understandable, but there wasn't much he could do about it. So the one-half of the Wyld Stallyns was going out through the town for two reasons. First was to make sure there were no more evil undead dudes running around. And second was to make sure there were no non-evil dead dudes laying about without proper burial. He was making his way to the barn when he looked at his watch. It said 12:15 but he could have sworn it said that about two hours ago. "The sun would be most beneficial in telling time right now." Did he wind his watch? Ted couldn't remember.

But he saw someone who might be able to help him in that endeavour. "Excuse me, most busy dude..but what time is it?"

Gambit was indeed a most busy dude. He was digging a hole with his make-shift shovel, in the same spot he'd buried Logan last time. He was five feet down, so he'd gone quite deep enough, and was just climbing out of said hole, dirty and dingy and ripe with the smell of death. However, when he heard those footsteps and that voice, he looked up.. then broke into a slow grin. "'Bou' noon?" He guessed with a glance up at the black sky. God, that sounded so wrong to say.

Don't mind the rotting body laying just a few feet from the grave, Ted. It was about to go in the hole, Gambit had promised he'd bury the bodies instead of sitting them around the barn and talking to them.

Don't ask.

"Ain' seen you 'fore, you new?" Of course, he'd just seen L (really seen him) for the first time today.. so lord knew, this guy could be someone that he'd met before also. His brain wasn't having a good day.

Though Ted had no idea, the dude he was talking to was probably most mentally unstable. It was a good thing that Ted was very easy-going and therefore probably wouldn't ruffle too many feathers. "Shah! I must have totally wound my watch!" He looked proud of that fact.

"Pretty new. Been here two days. Or three. When there were little dudes running around." However long that had been. He frowned then, thinking that perhaps he should try to keep track of the days. So-Crates might say that was kind of fruitless, though. Dust in the wind, dude.

Shrugging to himself, he grinned amicably and peeked in the hole. "That is most heinous. Do you want help or something?"

"Non, go' 'dis." He assured him with a smile and a lift of his eyebrows, before he was nudging the body, already so close to the hole. A nudge, a nudge-- the body rolled. More nudging, the body rolled again. Another nudge, and it slipped over the edge and fell five feet to the bottom of the hole, making Gambit wince some when the stiff body hit the soft soil below. Sorry, Logan, but he just didn't have it in him to climb down in there and carefully lower you in.

He toed some of the fresh dirt, kicking it down on top of the body before he looked up again, red eyes finding the younger man's face in the dark. Though, in the lighting, it might just look like his eyes were shadowed, completely dark. It was probably for the best.

"Wha's y' name?" He prompted with a smile, but didn't hold out a hand to shake. Remy didn't shake hands. "M' Gambit." But he would introduce first, as he often did.

He winced visibly with each body-nudging toward the hole. "Dude..Most unrighteous way to go." Said after a moment of silence for the dead, decaying dude that he didn't know. And then it was on to other things.

All Ted had was the torch, so everything looked spooky underneath that sort of lighting. Besides, he might not have noticed anyway. "I. Am Ted Logan! My most intrepid new friend Dan and I found ourselves stranded in this most untriumphant area."

He tilted his head curiously, "Gambit. That is an unusual name! Are you from France, Gambit? Napoleon didn't speak English..but if he did, he totally would have sounded like you!"

He lifted his eyebrows a little at that comment.. but then turned to look down at the body and tilted his head some curiously. "Logan? 'Dat was his name." He nodded towards the body in the ground, then, before bringing his eyes back up to meet with the younger man. The boy. Huh.

"Oui, ain' uh name y' hear all 'de time." Once again, a smile broke out over his face. "France? Non, from 'de USA, Lou'zee'anna, Naw'leans. On 'de Bayou." He'd never understand why people suspected he was from France all the time.. he didn't sound that way. Sure, he spoke French, but he sounded like someone from Tennessee had been hit with a baseball bat at a young age, then taught impeccable French and awful English.

Ted knew nothing about geography. And only a little about history. So that explained his assumption, at least. Just the "wee's" and the way he dropped a few syllables reminded him of Bonaparte. That was all. "Bet you like waterslides too, dude.." That was as close as Ted got to musing most of the time. He looked around then and shook his head. "If we are totally in a biology experiment, they are so going to fail."

"Whoa! Am I the only person from California?" There were New Yorkers, people from Louisiana, people from space..Weird! Also weird was Logan. "That is totally my last name. Most triumphant!" He grinned for a second, then realised that the name-sharer was dead. That part was unfortunate.

"I am on the most noble expedition for more undead dudes or bodies. Do you wanna join?"

"T'ink you migh' be, homme." He replied with a slow smirk, but only flashed him a grin with the mention of waterslides. Careful, Ted, this boy wasn't all there right now. He'd need a little smack to get back together, but he'd get it soon. Really.

"An' oui, woul' go wit' you. Go' t'ree righ' now." The other two sitting a little farther off. "We gotta bury 'dem all, 'dough.. if 'de ot'ers can' handle i', 'dat leaves i' up t' us." Right? Right. And the Cajun was nodding once, as if agreeing with himself. "Know 'dere's one in 'de gym.. you know where 'dere are ot'ers? T'ink Selene go' some, can' wri'e her an' see where she got 'dem."

It was okay, Gambit, the boys could be not all there together. Because, while a good kid, Ted wasn't exactly the brightest crayon in the box was he? Still, in spite of the fact that synapses didn't always fire together, the California dude knew when he should try to help.

"Shah! Burying them is a good way to make sure they totally don't come back." He paused, "Again!" He looked over to the other two bodies and toed the dirt with his hightop sneaker. "Let's totally get them to rest, Gambit."

He moved over toward the other bodies, sadness evident on a face that didn't have enough guile to hide his emotions. "Did you know any of them, dude?"

"Non.. I burie' Logan m'self las' time, goo' an' deep. He still came back." Remy turned to look down at the body again but his expression didn't really change. He was all out of emotions right now, sorry, Ted.

"Oui, knew Logan.. companion o' mine, kin'a." He wasn't sure what he and Logan were.. enemies? No. Rivals? That sounded a bit better.. at least it hadn't been Rogue. He surely wouldn't have been quite as calm.

"Knew some 'de ot'ers.." He was stepping aside then, towards the grave just left of Logan's, where the other body was laying, and he was beginning to nudge that one closer to the already-dug hole. "Y'wanna do 'de ot'er one? We ge' 'dese fille' in an' ge' on our way, non?" He paused, then.. as an after thought: "Parlez-vous le français? You speak French?"

"Whoa." What else could he say to that? There was nothing else. What kind of people brought back already buried dudes? Against every zombie movie he knew! "Dude, that's most bogus for you.." he trailed off then, looking sympathetic for Gambit. But quickly enough, the lanky boy was going over to the other body.

He stared down at it, looking about as thoughtful as Ted got. Which was actually this strange mixture between an attempt for thoughtfulness and vague blankness. "Don't fear the reaper, dude." He couldn't help it, grinning a little and performing the tiniest of air guitars. Then he did it again, more slow and solemn before pushing the body toward the hole.

Did he speak French? "A little, dude. Learned it from a little dude." Heh.

"Wha' you know?" French, of course. What French words? His question was punctuated by Jay's body thudding into the grave below, and he stared down at it a moment before kicking a little dirt down onto it. He'd bury them all at the same time, no reason to do it one by one. It'd be quicker the other way. "How ol' are you, Te'?" Sorry, Ted, your name would be massacred by the Cajun's accent. It was such a short name, and he didn't pronounce T's nor D's well.. which left for a pretty sad sounding name. Maybe he'd start calling you Logan..

That'd be eerie.

Ted listed off the few words he'd learned from the short dead dude. Most of them had to do with war or battles. "And water slides!" He grinned with a nod that included his whole being. "That's totally English, but he really liked the water slides!"

He'd rolled the other body into the hole and was looking around for a shovel to get the dirt back onto it. "Totally eighteen. Which is bogus for playing in clubs, but me and Bill were trying to get into Battle of the Bands!" They had gotten in! Before the Evil Them's totally killed them!

..Dickweeds.

The Cajun was just grinning away at the words. He'd certainly had a strange teacher, hadn't he? Who didn't start with the basic things?

Remy didn't, for one. The thought made him shake his head some, then he looked up. He really wished the sun would come up, he felt miserable without it. The burning barn, later, would brighten him up. He needed light in his life.

"Eigh'een? Ain' uh ba' age." He'd been married at eighteen. He was still married, technically... Hm. Moving on. "Bill? He here wit' you?"
