Dean glanced around, his eyes beginning to become more accustomed to the light even though his brain was taking a lot longer to clear up. He wasn't sure if the churning sound was an illusion in his ears due to his muddled mind or if there were water rides in this place too. He didn't think he liked the idea of either option really.
"Across the street?" he asked under his breath. That sounded funny to him considering the rides and booths he was surrounded by. "Across town..." he said a little louder. "Where the hell am I?" he grumbled and closed his eyes again.
She was still apparently wary of him and that amused him. He chuckled softly as she crept closer because he was pretty sure he could hear her doing it even though he couldn't see her until he opened his eyes. And even then he could only see the edge of her skirt peeking from behind a tea cup.
"Which one am I? What do you mean?" he answered her question with another. He chuckled and then groaned again, gingerly rubbing a sore spot on his bicep. A slow, burning sensation was creeping across his skin beneath the sleeve of his shirt but he was preoccupied by the fact that he wasn't sure where he was or what was happening around him.
