Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:!complete, day 18, location: post office, remus lupin, rose tyler, sarah jane smith, the management

Delayed post - Mod apologies!
Who: The Management and OTA
What: Survey Says!
Where: The Post Office
When: 1:00 - 2:00 PM
Rating: Depends on who shows up

This member of the Management almost looked a bit too chipper for her own good; well, at least from the distance. The old post office with it's secrets still quite securely locked inside served as the latest depot for survey collection. Anyone close enough would have heard the heavy bolt come undone from the only entry and see the blonde in her black suit step out and carefully lock the door again behind her. She had a small folio which she clutched to her chest and no sunglasses, despite the trend set by her counterparts. No, she was best with her naked eyes to stare down whoever would be silly enough to try and cross her.

So, she took out her pen and started making personal notes in private shorthand. She already had a list of things she wanted to do when she got back to her desk once moe.

It'd been a long night in the tunnels trying to find a way out or a way to the bastards in charge of the place. Sam and Rorschach had found neither, though they had managed to make some leeway on mapping out the tunnels. Still, every time they rounded a bend there was one more corridor, one more locked door, one more unanswered question. Eventually even Sam's anger couldn't fuel him on any longer and he'd returned to the museum to sleep. A few hours later he'd awakened to find an exact replica of the watch Jess had given him two Christmases ago on his left wrist and a freaking survey of all things from the jerks in charge.

He'd tried to rip it out, but it'd reappeared again and again and eventually he answered it and then discovered that Merope and some of the others had returned alive. He immediately felt guilty and stupid for buying their deaths so easily, though it was far out shadowed by relief. He was going to have to find Shannon and make sure she was alright, but first he had a date with the management.

He had a word - or two dozen - for them.

His jaw tightened as he approached the Post Office. If he was surprised to see a woman emerge from behind the locked door he didn't show it. He cleared his throat, his brow furrowing into a scowl. "You the one behind all of this?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

She saw Sam coming down the road. Goodness he looked tired. Must have had a rough night. He was in for a rough day, the Management supposed.

He had that survey, she assumed as she surveyed his clearly perturbed features. "Behind all this? Hardly." She tried not to look smug. Though, it was a compliment of sorts to be told that she could have masterminded all this. Did he have any idea how many people it took to run this place?

"So, you have your Survey Mister Winchester?"

"Then who is?" Sam asked, his voice hard. "I'd like to have a word with them," he said, his hands tightening around his crossed arms.

He gave a soft snort when she asked about the survey. "I'm not giving you anything until I speak to whoever is behind all of this. You're obviously not high enough on the pay scale. Who else have you got?"

Rose couldn't say she was looking forward to meeting anyone who ran this place face to face. Not if she couldn't attack them, and it was fairly certain they'd be sort of armed at least and she...wouldn't. And really, what good would it do her? Unless they could somehow capture them?

It had been a long morning and Rose's head was spinning by the time she reached the Post Office. She looked hesitantly at the elegant looking woman a few feet away. A few feet away where...it wasn't raining? Oooh, no, this only got more and more strange. Putting on her most stormy, pardon the pun, expression, she made her way the last few steps, journal clutched tightly in her hands. She wanted to get this over with. There were things she wanted and needed to say and at the moment, she couldn't. That? Did not make for a happy Rose.

Instead of speaking, she merely glared a the woman, forcing her to speak first.

Remus had ended up tagging along with Rose, as he had for the past two days.. but today, it was simply because he really hadn't wanted Rose to go alone to meet these people... and he really didn't want to meet them alone, either. So there he was, standing quietly to her side and just a step behind, taller than her now, certainly more dangerous, and still covered in bandages and scrapes, scratches, and bruises. What a mess he was, and from what Selene had told him..? It was going to happen again.

He wasn't looking forward to that.

The book in his hands was shifted around and clutched onto again as he watched the woman as well, hazel eyes focused onto her, but it wasn't a glare, it was a softer sort of expression. Strange werewolf.

"Well, look at this," she said warmly, "Rose and Remus, has a sort of ring to it, doesn't it?" Quick swipe of her pen across the pad and she made a note with a smile.

"Both of you have those surveys?" She asked with a sort of smile. It was always nice to run into the good ones.

"Wouldn't want to keep the pair of you from more exciting things than surveys."

"If that were the truth, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have given them to us," Rose confessed, looking more than a little angry. Her, fine, she could take care of herself. But Remus was just a kid, and she wanted to throttle anyone involved in bringing a young boy here away from family or friends.

If this woman truly believed she was one of 'the good ones', she was sadly mistaken. Rose was every bit as feisty as any of her counterparts. Just sans weaponry and size.

Remus had wisely remained quiet while Rose spoke, though he tightened his hands on his journal a little and was prepared to hand it over, though Rose didn't seem to be ready to do that just yet, so the werewolf also kept his. He was obviously taking his cues from the older girl, if only on the account of her being the first person he ran into and trusted in this place. Her father friend wasn't that bad, either, once you got past his coldness.

But he decided to hold his tongue a little while longer while the two women spoke. Pretty and quiet, could you ask for two better traits in a man? He was clever, too. It was just too bad he wasn't a man. Yet.

After watching what had happened between Remy and the Management agent, Sarah had wasted little time in seeking out the other location in which they were supposed to be collecting surveys. She wanted to get this over with. And, the new watch on her wrist told her it wasn't yet two, so she could just make it to the post office.

She saw the smartly dressed blonde waiting outside the building and hurried up, stopping just short of the woman. She regarded the woman warily. "Good afternoon," she said, although her tone wasn't nearly as pleasant as it usually was.
