Today
Day Twenty Seven

Arrivals

None have been deemed suitable to join our community this game day.

Departures

All subjects remain under handy lock and key.

Weather Forecast
85° and sunny, growing colder as the day goes on. The sky is clear, and will remain so for the entire day. Morning: 72°; Mid-day: 80°; Evening: 65°.

There is no sunset this game day

Experiments

Today has been deemed a preparation day for experiments. As such, residents as listed will be confined or otherwise modified as outlined below.

As with day 26, cells have been repaired and reinforced in the following locations:
Barn: Six foot square cell, two cots
Church: Six foot square cell, two cots
Carnival: Eight foot square cell, two sets of bunk beds

Any beds removed from the cells will have been replaced in the cell. Anyone who was sleeping on a stolen bed will awaken on the ground

The cells are now aptly equipped with locks and large bolts. Edges where any weakness might be have been lined in razor wire. Clearly, the Management wants whatever (or whoever) is placed in the cage to stay there.)

Inventory

All regular stores are found in the Pharmacy and Gas Station including water, candy, and alcohol.

All weapons received during the Zombie experiment have been removed from Vas Captio

Welcome to the first day of the Management's Control experiment. For the first time in Vas Captio, the Management has taken control of various members of the community for their own purposes.

For this game day, the following Characters are under the highest level of Management control:

- Sam Winchester
- The Ninth Doctor
- Selene (Selene is at full strength as she would be if she fed)
- Rorschach
- Captain Jack Harkness
- Illyana Rasputin (All of Illyana's powers are at full force and under control)

These characters have been tapped as 'Guards.' Why guards? Because their simple job is to keep those people who have been placed inside the cages where they belong. There are a few small rules regarding these characters behaviors:

1. A guard has been programmed to respond to directives as communicated by The Management. Today, the directive is to keep their captives in the cage.

2. Guards may (if the player believes their character mentally capable of overcoming management control) speak at a ratio of 1:5 with every 1 sentence being in their characters voice for every 5 that fall in line with what their programming has been.

3. No Guard will be able to aid the subjects in any way to escape. No guard will be able to sabotage, break, or undo any methods used to keep the captives where they are.

4. They will use anything (including physical harm)against intruders to ensure the subjects remain in their cage.

5. Guards will not do any journal entries through out the duration of this plot arc unless directed otherwise by a mod.

The Guards work in pairs and have been assigned cages as follows:

Barn: The Ninth Doctor and Rorschach
Church: Sam Winchester and Illyana Rasputin
Carnival: Jack Harkness and Selene

Now, the guards need to have somebody to guard, don't they?

The following characters have been placed in cages in the locations as noted:

- Andy Gallagher: Barn
- Nymphadora Tonks: Carnival
- Merope Gaunt: Carnival
- Rose Tyler: Church
- Ianto Jones: Carnival
- Lexie Grey: Barn
- Remy LeBeau: Church
- Chris Halliwell: Carnival

1. All characters in cages will be stripped of their journals. They will not be able to journal until instructed again.
2. Remy LeBeau and Rose Tyler will be bound together so that his and her bare palms can only touch one anothers. The mechanism holding them together is large, metal, and impossible to removed without the key which Sam and Illyana both have.

The following residents are under low Management control this game day:

- L. Lawliet
- Remus Lupin
- Oz Osbourne
- The Doctor (Ten)
- Eliott Reid
- Kimberly Corman
- Rogue
- Edward
- Connor Temple

These characters may observe that there are people in the cages; but, much like someone hypnotized, will not see any issue. They will not make excuses, they will only think it is as normal as a sunny day. They journal as usual.

The following residents are under no management control:

- James T. Kirk
- Sarah Jane Smith
- Ted Logan
- Hannibal King
- Shannon Rutherford
- Leonard McCoy
- Church
- Fina
- Ramirez
- Spock
- Kim Boggs
- Willard Stiles
- Gregory House
- Spencer Reid
- Stephen Hart

As always - Questions are encouraged! If you have some, please reply to this post so everyone might benefit (You guys always think of things we haven't!

Happy Day Change, one and all!

Sorry to have deleted your comments, folks - accidentally posted this in RPG instead of OOC... Maybe this mod's a little too excited for her own good, yeah?

Dude.

My muses are raging; it will drive me crazy, but I love this evilness, haha.

Questions! Do the cages have any magical reinforcements or are they purely physical? Like would Chris be able to orb out or use his telekinesis on anything outside the cage? Are the guards instructed to use physical harm short of mortal injury, or has management left that up to the guards' discretion? (Obviously no killing but certain characters could do a lot of damage to someone without killing them.) Oh, and can people approach the cages without being deemed a threat? Such as to attempt to pass food/water to those inside. Or will anyone approaching the cages be instantly considered a threat?

I love you.

Do the cages have any magical reinforcements or are they purely physical? Cages are physical.

Like would Chris be able to orb out or use his telekinesis on anything outside the cage? No orbing for the Chris-meister. This mod failed and completely forgot to strip him of his abilities. For that, he can feel free to orb around the cage and keep minimal telekinetic power.

Are the guards instructed to use physical harm short of mortal injury, or has management left that up to the guards' discretion? (Obviously no killing but certain characters could do a lot of damage to someone without killing them.) The guards will behave on an escalating basis. They will not just punch someone for approaching the cage. They will, for example, tug someone away who is messing with the locks. Then, they will shove the same person if they approach again. Then, they will hit. Then they will attempt to injure. So on and so forth. Mortal injury is on the table. Please contact another player if you feel your character is reaching that point.

Oh, and can people approach the cages without being deemed a threat? Sure. A person would become a threat as soon as they attempt to mess with the door or anything that keeps the cage structurally sound. It is safe to assume that the guards will be exceptionally watchful of anything passed to the captives.

Hee. *spreads the love around*

Chris appreciates not being completely stripped of his abilities, and I look forward to him being frustrated as hell at not being able to do more. Heh. I'm also kind of glad he's in a cage otherwise he'd likely end up getting quite beat up by the time this day is over.

Mmkay, escalating makes sense. For the guards, I assume the cage has to be kept in view at all times? And their being under control... is it like a possession type deal, where their real self is in there and conscious of all that's going on, or is it more mind control/robotic where they have no will to do anything but what they've been programmed? I know, I know, nit-picky questions. *hides*

That last bit - FANTASTIC question - because I forgot to put it in there: In that little Guard-fogged head is the consciousness of the person. They are VERY aware of what they are doing. In fact, they may be actively trying to resist, hence why they might speak in their own "voice" from time to time.

When it comes to actions, they are extremely limited. When it comes to facial expression, tone, and the occasional phrase they have a bit more freedom. Don't worry, they'll have reason to sound a look anguished later.

Also - I would say that at least one guard must be present at the cage at all times. They may do rounds about their building if you feel like that is reasonable.

This is gonna be fun.^^

Question: if 'Yana's at full power, does that mean she can access Limbo at all? Like, drop people there, or summon demons from there to help her guard things? Obviously, since she's under Management control, she's not gonna think about leaving, but does she have any increased access to her "home"?

Judges say yes to demon summoning! Though, there's a cap, because we can't have her with a plethora of demons. Let's say she can summon two? Sound fair to you?

We didn't want Illyana to have an army of demons - have to give the rest of the captives a fighting shot, yeah?

I can has one!

How about Andy's mind control? Useless entirely because they're already being controlled by the Management or up to the people playing the guards or...? Cuz where he comes from he'd be all "these aren't the droids you're looking for" and they'd let him and Lex out lol

Andy's mind control would not work on the guards or other brainwashed subjects as they are already being controlled. He is more than welcome to use his ability on others who are not currently under the Management's influence however.

Okay, so he can use it on them but it just won't have any impact, yeah? Like he still has it, clearly, because you said he can use it on non-controlled, but I just wanna make sure I'm on the right page here.
