The first day of their mini-vacation was coming to a close and they had begun heading toward the 'front' of the park, along with the hundreds of others that were flocking that way. Kitty had excused herself to the bathroom, because she really had to go! She hated using public restrooms, but she knew that she'd never be able to make it back to their hotel room (yes, they were sharing!). As she entered one of the many ladies' rooms, she found it was jam packed and as such, had to wait her turn until one of the stalls were freed up. While she waited, she fidgeted with the Star of David pendant that hung around her neck and kept eying some of the occupied, impatiently. One-by-one the stalls emptied and filled up with those who had been waiting inline ahead of her. (It was pure torture!) When she noticed that one of the ladies who had been ahead of her hadn't yet left the stall at the end of the row, she decided to make a bold move and go 'check' on her. She knocked on the stall's door.... and there had been no response. She knocked again, and still, there was no sign of life. "Uhm, excuse, ma'am? Are you okay?" Again, she was greeted with silence. The young brunette blinked, backing up somewhat and took a look under the door; she could see the jean-clad legs of the stall's occupant.... and they weren't rolled down? And they (the legs) were sort of bent at an odd angle.... Shadowcat glanced around the bathroom and once she knew no one was watching, she phased through the stall's door to take a peek inside. She had fully expected to get an earful, but when none came and the shocking realization that the woman within was dead, she pulled back quickly, eyes widening in alarm, and took off for the exit. She had noticed small puncture marks on the now-deceased woman's neck and she knew exactly what had done it: a Vampire. "Wren! Juliya!" She called out, while she maneuvered herself through the crowd of people who were clambering for the park's exit. No one else seemed to take notice of the slight panic that lit the phasing mutant's voice, however. They were probably too tired and too wrapped up in the Disney experience to care, and Kitty wished she was one of them. Once the two older women came into view, her pace quickened until she made it to them. "Guys.... we have a problem," she said, panting a little between breaths. |
