I don't really know what to say. Social media is a Mundane I've never spent much time on the internet. And my girlfriend usually does most of the talking. I don't know how to do this without her I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that Downworlders and M humans are living peacefully together in the open here. Is that really working as well as it seems? If so, could somebody tell me your secret?

Anyway. I guess I'll find an art supply store while I figure out what to do with myself.

ENID & WEDNESDAY

I just got home from the library and I noticed that the wards protecting the house were messed with. They weren't fully broken, but it's odd so I'm going to be asking for some help to reinforce them and get one of those cameras for the front door and other places on the lot, just to look out. I don't know that it was anything nefarious, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Anyway. About Fig I know that I'm not Anyw Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to make things feel more secure, all right?

I think someone might have tampered with the wards on the house. I came home and they were clearly touched, though I don't know if someone was trying to break in or if that is just me being paranoid. Either way, will you come over when you have a chance and check my new warding work, just for another set of eyes?

I don't How was the wedding? Fun?

I know it's spooky season and boy am I here for all of the spooky things (although the skeletons are getting into the mood a little early? Didn't we have Halloween decorations come to life one year??) and cooler weather and s'mores and bonfires and hayrides and all that comes along with it buuuuuuuuuuut it's also a great snack time! Or, you know, "great" depending on your interpretation.

Also no notes for these friends who I have officially deemed the Baa Boys. Working on a farm is amazing because everything can change in a day or two! All of them have such different personalities too, like, I can tell you EXACTLY which cow is the best listener, which goat will literally try to rip your snack apron off to get to the good stuff, and which alpacas are going to be the goofiest (hint, it's all of them)

I'm really lucky to be a small part of keeping our family farm going. :) Come by and see us at the farmer's market! I have it on good authority all of the animals are super selfie friendly!

So, those of you with more experience with this, what's the usual reaction when Vallo takes away your spiky-haired best friend who is also your only employee? Is it stress eating? Because I'm stress eating.

At the risk of having my internet access restricted again, I bring you all today's holiday (at least in the States): National Sour Candy Day!



In the spirit of this holiday, I bought out the sour candies at the Walgreens closest to the house (Sour Patch Kids, Airhead Xtremes, Haribo Sour Goldbears, Jolly Ranchers Gummies). I fed one of the gummy bears to Lucky and he made the best face, but I missed the chance to take a picture because I couldn't stop laughing.

The staff down at the Wiz's asked me to pass along that they're hosting some races on the 23rd this month.

There will 3 races - an A and B Pool and then a fun run. A and B are based on skill so if you've had experience riding chocobos, or just a similar animal, A pool is probably for you. B if you're new to the whole thing. The fun run is for anyone, silly outfits are required.

I'm Kaitlyn Ka, new to Vallo. Great place, really, even if it's kind of weird surreal. I mean I never thought I'd be in a place where plants can talk to me. I'm a friend of Abi and Nick's, know them from the camp we were counselors at, along with Dylan. Anyone have ideas on how I can pass the time here?

Wow, look, I once again just found some random stuff in my stuff this morning when I woke up, how very strange and coincidental:

- a set of dice, I think? One of them looks like a dice, but the rest are interestingly shaped *
- a marker that says COPIC on it *
- an eyepatch *
- just a fuck ton of daggers that I'm pretty sure are your make, Fen *
- a little friendship looking bracelet *
- a book that I think might be in Zemnian, Caleb *
- several sets of keys that can probably be identified by keychain *
- two different chapsticks, both vanilla latte flavored
- a black bucket hat that says "Raccoon Whisperer" on it
- a nearly empty pot of what I assume is body glitter (this is becoming tradition and makes me think younger me should have had more access back home)
- one black fingerless glove
- jar of crunchy peanut butter that might just be from our kitchen, now that I think about it
- a sewing kit with all the black thread missing, apologies
- a rainbow scrunchie
- two empty flasks this year, oh ho
- a belt that isn't one of my many belts

There also are a number of items here that I recognize from a certain shop. I will return them to you, my glorious fiance, when I bring you lunch.

Anyway, I do apologize--my fingers were incredibly sticky as a teenager due to a slew of father-based issues that we don't have to get into right now. Guess what! Since we have so many more kids than usual, Art of Expression is launching a special session of ART CAMP!!!

Instead of our usual signups, this time we're just doing show-ups! Starting this morning, kids from 5 to 12 will be with me in The Big Classroom at Cloud Recesses, and we'll have a super great time playing with all kinds of media, including paints and pastels and clay! There's room for all ability and experience levels, so if you want to make art, just come on up the mountain!

If you're bringing a kid, make sure they wear something they can get messy, and pack a lunch. If they need any special accommodations, just let me know and I will make it happen.

And if there are any kids who see this and want to come but don't have an adult yet, just pipe up! We'll find someone to show you the way here and make sure you've got a good lunch.

Annnnnnnnnd any of our suddenly-teenagers need stuff to do (or our regular teenagers, for that matter), I wouldn't mind an extra hand child-wrangling, so like...hmu if you need extra activities. I already had like a half dozen regular Vallo moms and dads responding that they'd be coming when I sent the message out to our standard mailing list.

I awakened this morning to discover that my husband is thirteen years older and has no recollection of Vallo. Is anyone experiencing similar difficulties?

A heads up for those with some younger kiddos that the library is doing a few fairy tale based comedy plays over the weekend. They're at 10:00, 1:00 and 3:00 both Saturday and Sunday in their little auditorium. Snacks will be provided.

I'll be going to Saturday at 3:00 with Lucas if anyone wanted to join us.

On a more business note! The government is offering subsidies and rebates for anyone hit by the recent events and need to do repairs to business and homes. Hit me up if you would be interested and I can get someone in touch with you. If you've already done repairs they are reimbursing as well so get me your receipts and I'll get the process started for you.

Hi.

For those of you new who haven't heard it a million times already (Rogier, I'm looking at you, can you feel the side eye from here, I sure hope so):

The chocobos have a treat schedule. Please do not fuck with the schedule.

I am aware they are cute, and that they have the please give me treats look on lock down at this point, but I promise you all they will live if you don't give into it. If anything they will be happier, more productive chocobos and not full of food that they love but isn't the best for them. You do not know what it was like before the schedule but trust me when I say it was madness.

If you'd like to get on the rotation to give treats during the designated treats time let me or Prompto know.
