In news that I imagine only Blue is interested in, my previously cancelled book readings are being rescheduled for this coming week at Chastity's Nook during the evening. Violent fowl rather got in the way last time for reasons I just don't want to think about anymore for the sake of my pride. But the socks I was given as payment for this service are rather wonderful and I would hate to disappoint, so here we are, rescheduling. As the resident experts, I've requested that Caleb and Jester pick the books to pull excerpts from, so I'm sure there will be far better selections than I might have chosen.

Anyway, if you have some desire to listen to me read adult literature, next week is your chance. You should also buy books or literally anything else they have for sale while you're there. Or, I don't know, bring cupcakes.

Any of my magic lingering or are you all back to yourself?

In an attempt to get a read on the situation and see if this bears similarities to what happened during the summer, is anyone else experiencing abnormalities with their magic or other abilities this morning?

I can't help but be of the opinion that giant spiders are best left as served food, than encountered alive while finishing one's errands. Given talk of other large insects, I do not know why I was so surprised, but here we are.

Though, I suppose that now there are several dead ones, so -- halfway there.

I ah-- know it has not been easy for all of us with the departures as of late. But- we have a very large house here that is now half empty. If any of you were interested, you would be welcome to stay here.

I believe I have perfected adding onto the house, should any of our friends return, but we have five or six rooms available, and I am not just suggesting this because Kiri is requesting more sleepovers with Velora. We would understand if you did not want to leave your own house, of course.

But we have a hot tub and spa.

Good morning. Ah For transparency, I wanted to let you all know that I woke up remembering more from home than I did last night. It is not as far forward as some of you have recently experienced, but I remember returning to Rosohna after the peace talks. For context, Verin, I teleported from Rosohna to the Mighty Nein's vessel to be present during the talks.

Out of curiosity, have the ghosts dissipated, then? I haven't seen any myself, but it hasn't stopped me from being a bit wary whenever I turn corners or enter rooms so I wouldn't mind being able to relax that particular hypervigilance for a while.

The last handful of months have flown by so quickly, I was genuinely surprised when I realized how close it's become to the end of the semester and the year itself. Our years are shorter back home and the months and celebrations are similar, yet different. I think that not having a Harvest's Close festival in the streets of Whitestone or getting to go to Emon to see the bonfires for Civilization's Dawn like I did last year just sort of makes things meld together. I've enjoyed seeing new festivities and traditions here, but I've missed some of the ones from home. I miss a lot from home, but

However, Winter's Crest does seem to have some similarities to the Christmas that I've seen some talk about on the network, so that is something to look forward to! I have to like a holiday that gives me an added excuse to buy gifts for friends.

Today is Day Three of waking up to a spectral dog wagging his tail and looking very expectantly at me, so I suppose it might be time to name him.

This is a terribly belated update, so I hope you can forgive me.

You've probably seen varying assessments of how the speed dating went, but I thought it was quite fine. It was odd at first, but it got easier with each person; whether that was me growing more comfortable or the drinks helping that along, we may never know. But the people that I met were very nice and I'm hopeful for some new friendships, so we'll see. Afterwards there was mingling, which seemed like it would be terrible, but Verin was there, so I just stuck near him. I also saw Pike, so there were plenty of familiar faces. I know the point was meeting new people, but Ver it is what it is.

Anyway, that's all I have to say about it. Nothing exciting or scandalous, I'm afraid, but it was nice getting out of the keep and forcing myself out of my comfort zone. I might just have to do it more often, in fact.

Speed dating was .. something. It felt like half the people didn't want to be there though? Is that how it always is?

I'm sorry that I was so snippy with you earlier. I wanted you to come back so bad and then all of a sudden you were here but I lost Grog at the same time. I don't really understand this place or get why it has to be the way it is. I don't want to spend our whole time doing.. whatever it is we're doing. You could disappear at any time.

Hello, there. On the topic of people hearing other's thoughts, is everything all right?

I almost didn't go to the ball. The fact that I've been here for what feels like all of five minutes without proper attire or really anyone I'd know who would be there, going didn't seem like that great of an idea. I'm glad I did, though, because I forgot just how much I really missed the fun that comes from a good party--we don't get many of them where I'm stationed. Or was stationed? I'm still wrapping my mind around how all of that works.

So thank you to those who worked hard to host it, and also thank you to those who took the time to talk to and/or dance with me. I enjoyed your company for as long as I had it. Also, thank you to Jester for taking the time to find me something appropriate to wear.

All of that being said, I'm now in the business of looking for more ways that this place offers fun. Who has recommendations? Food? Things to do? Places to see? I'm open to trying just about anything once.
