A. Traditionally, this comes in the form of something with a blade component--examples include but are not limited to axes, knives, swords, war fans, scythes, but please, be creative. I love to see it.

Q. I have never used a sharp weapon before, does that matter?
A. No, not particularly. I would not recommend attempting one without tutelage, but I know there are many qualified people who are ready and able to assist. At the worst, you will learn what is not for you. At the best, who knows!

Q. Will there be drinks and snacks.
A. Yes, absolutely, though perhaps not at the same time as the sharp weapon using. Although again, who is to say.

I know people are raging out and turning into puppets right now which is so on brand for this place I'm actually having a moment about it, but! We have stuff to help at the Apothecary. Room sprays which make your place smell good and calm your Hulk moments - lavender, sandalwood, and chamomile to name a few and it's legit because scent relaxation and mood lifting is real. Your nose can do some wild stuff for your body and you don't even need magic for it! Everything comes in candle form too, FYI.

Also I don't mean to sound like Brenda with the essential oils pyramid scheme; I'm not saying this will cure the common cold, I'm just saying it all helps your pillowcases not smell like sweat.

Oh! And if you're friends with my merm bestie, Cleo, please know that her birthday is April 19th so I'll be throwing her a pizza party at Dough Bros that night. It's really tiny so we'll probably just end up taking over the place and having fun. Come by around 7 if you want to celebrate Cleo!

ANYWAY, well, there's nothing I love more than showing my two-hander off - she's a claymore, massive, rude - and I'd be happy to take her out on a playdate if you're willing.

Meet me at the training grounds Wednesday and we'll find a nice little place. This filter's ladies only; I figure we get enough of men making "hur hur my sword is a dick" jokes in our day to day (which, to be honest, I appreciate) so if you bring a guest make sure she identifies as a woman.

A while back, a house from our world arrived. We admittedly haven't done much with it because it isn't ho, because in order to get inside you have to have flight capability, some sort of teleporting ability, or the desire to walk up 10000 stairs. Elain and I lack all of these, and I don't want to feel dependant on anyone Cassian's wings.

Is anyone able and willing to install some sort of teleportation device or magical lift that goes from the bottom of the tower to the top? There's a waypoint outside of the house, but it's only so helpful with its location on the ground. Preferably I'd like something that will last if you happen to get sent home.

I'm willing to pay for your time and labor, than ugh thank you.

This is just a quick note to let you know that I haven't died alone in my library covered in books - I have an office now in which to do that. In recent weeks, I accepted the position of Magical Research Lead for the Department of Outlander Affairs. The previous person in this position had a number of notes I have been working through, and now that I have a decent notion of where we are, I can start planning for how I'd like us to be. Already I see several opportunities to apply the many talents and skills that we have at our disposal here at Vallo to hopefully make life more comfortable, and to offer support for those new arrivals who might add to our knowledge of Vallo's workings through their own magical talent.

I've not abandoned my current project - magical fluctuation in alternate universes - nor will I quit any existing side-projects I have agreed to. I thank you for your patience as I continue to come up to speed, and if I may assist in something with regard to magical research, please don't hesitate to reach out.
